Vehicle Detail
Also listed locally as best price over $5500 or Trade of RUNNING vehicles of the SAME VALUE, QUALITY and ERA (60's/70's/maybe some 80's). 1979 Ford F-150, 4x4, suspension lift by Super Lift, 3" body lift, running 39.5" Super Swampers, chrome 15 inch Weld Racing wheels. Powered by a 4 barrel 400 Ford. bored .030 over and balanced. competition cam, flat top pistons. Holley 750 vaccuum secondary carb. Edelbrock performance intake. C-6 automatic transmission with B&M shift kit. It does not leak anything. Motor is pretty close to 100 percent. The body is in 90 percent condition and very clean with no dents. The paint job is driver quality, but is clean and shines nicely. There are a couple areas of rust which are accounted for in the price. I recently cut out the worst area which is a section about 10"x4" in the driver side lower rear quarter panel. I have already purchased a new sheetmetal skin from LMC with the intent of fixing it. The hood had a hood scoop that was removed and replaced with metal but not painted. The tailgate is painted but could stand to be redone to be of same quality of the rest of the truck. The whole underside has been undercoated black and is very clean. The tires have good tread but are starting to get old. I have looked at replacing them. It will cost about $1500 to replace them with the same size Super Swamper TSL's. For the amount that I drive it, I am not replacing them at this point. However, the tire age is reflected in the starting price. The interior is in excellent condition and would be 100 percent if I put a headliner in. Recently put in a diamond plate truck box, bed and tailgate rails. New chrome side view mirrors. New chrome around wheel wells. New chrome Carr steps both driver and passenger side. The truck has never seen a puddle since I have had it, let alone snow or mud. Since it does not fit in the garage, I keep it under a custom fit protective cover . The truck is extremely clean and has only been used for weekend rides up to car shows here and there. It has about a 5 mile radius around the house. It is fun to drive, it's loud and it turns heads. If I don't sell and end up fixing the few rust areas and replacing the tires I will be asking a lot more. I have a clear title for the truck and have it in hand. Also listed locally as best price over $5500 or Trade of RUNNING vehicles of the SAME VALUE, QUALITY and ERA (60's/70's/maybe some 80's). On Apr-01-11 at 09:55:54 PDT, seller added the following information: I have uploaded pictures that I took this morning. Specifically, the pictures show the hood where the scoop was and the rust areas referred to in the description. You can see both the area that I started to cut out and you can see the sheetmetal skin and how it fits right over the affected area. Too bad I can't weld or that skin would be in there already. There is also a picture that shows the new chrome step-ups, chrome trim around the wheel wells and the diamond plate bed/tailgate rails and box. I have a quote from Roys Body Shop in Sykesville, MD, for $870 to fix the lower rear quarter panel. As I've noted earlier, if I end up not selling the truck for whatever reason (although it has now hit reserve!), I will put a grand into the body and $1500 into tires, and my starting price will reflect. On Apr-01-11 at 11:46:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Okay, I have added a video now.
