1999.5 New Body Volkswagen Jetta TDI turbo diesel 5 speed. This car has been really good to me over the years and gets excellent fuel mileage. This TDI has been very well maintained with no lights on or engine problems. - My car has only ever had synthetic oil for the last 110,000mi. - Synthetic gear oil changed in transmission that shifts perfectly - All front end bushings have been replaced recently - Oil cooler flushed frequently - Reusable air filter kept clean - Timing belt and water pump have been changed at 80,000mi and again at 158,000mi - There are no leaks or drips from any fluids on my car. As you can see by the pictures there are some upgrades. All were done by me and most of them about 4 years ago. - Full body kit including custom front bumper, rear bumper (with a touchup spot on the paintwork), and side skirts - Hood with a custom air intake scoop, the hood scoop came directly out of Mark Martin's NASCAR he wrecked at Lowes Motor Speedway in Concord, NC and molded into the hood - Custom handmade aluminum airbox - Stage 2 computer program - Fuel injector spray nozzle upgrade - Stage 3 durable clutch replacement with a solid extremely lightweight flywheel done at 158,000mi - 18" Akita wheels with aspect ratio equivalent (meaning speedometer is accurate) 225/40 tires - Bilstein shocks, not lowered suspension stock ride height - Drivers windows are not tinted but rear door and back windows have a light tinting to them - Nice CD player with lights that match the VW blue/red colors perfectly, it has an auxiliary port too - Although I have done modifications this TDI has not been beat or abused in anyway and always been taken care of The defects in the car consists of the headliner starting to release, a crack upper left corner of the windshield that is purely cosmetic and it has passed NC state inspection for 2 years with the crack because it does not obstruct the drivers view or effect the windshield wipers, and the few typical small dings and scratches. The TDI runs great and you can drive it anywhere very economically. It has 165 horsepower and 265 punds of torque and that is a lot more than the 90hp it came with making it much more pleasant to drive, keep up with traffic, and go up hills. I am only selling because I purchased a new Mercedes-Benz and do not need to keep an extra car.
