Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering traded in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle through one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over retail by eliminating all of the expenses that the normal dealers pass down to you. I personally drive each vehicle in excess of 30 miles so that I can accurately tell you how it looks, runs and drives. The description you are about to read is my honest opinion of this car based completely on my time behind the wheel and my observations about the car. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. As a wholesaler, I do not recondition or service/inspect any vehicle. It is safe to assume all vehicles may require service of varied degrees. If you have any questions about this or any vehicle, please ask. When possible, personal inspections are encouraged. An administrative fee of $99 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Reconditioned, this vehicle would retail for $3,300 per NADA. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a bright red 1998 Nissan 200-SX SE model. I would rate the exterior of this Nissan as BELOW AVERAGE due a few dents visible under the left rear window. Otherwise, she shines up well and shows normal wear. All of the glass looks to be in tact. The tires are in decent shape with average wear. The rear spoiler gives this little coupe an aggressive look. Check out the photos! This is a decent looking little car. The interior of this Nissan is in ABOVE AVERAGE condition. The black cloth seats show almost no wear and are very comfortable to sit in. The carpets and headliner are both in excellent condition. The trunk is clean and spacious for a small car. The rear seats fold down for even more storage room. The power windows, locks and sunroof all work as they should. The blower will need a new resistor ($25 here on ebay). This allows the interior fan to blow at speeds 1, 2 and 3 (the motor runs on high normally. the resistor alters current to the fan allowing it to blow at lower speeds). This is an easy fix. You will also have to put your own head unit in. Overall, the interior is clean and comfortable. Mechanically, this 200SX could be in better shape. The DOHC 1.6L engine fires right up but there is some valve chatter. The car runs and drives fine and doesn't appear to be leaking any fluids. During my test drive, the engine held perfect temperature. There were no warning lights on. At highway speeds, she is nice and steady with no pulling or vibration in the wheel. The brakes stop the car very well. The clutch is smooth and strong making gear changes a breeze. There is an exhaust leak before the muffler. It actually makes the exhaust sound really good but would probably need fixed for inspection. The muffler looks good from what I was able to see. I would start with a good tune up (oil, plugs, ect...). I don't know if an oil change will quiet the chatter but it's a good start. Some cheap oil will lose viscousity as it ages much faster than a quality oil. She seems to run okay, but some preventative care would be a wise investment. These cars are known for incredible fuel economy. My test drive is mostly highway and this little Nissan performed admirably. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!
