1964 Corvette convertible numbers matching project car. The story is this car has been in barn storage the past 30 years. It had some 60's or 70's custom fiberglass work done on the rear which covered the tailights, also on the hood. The side vents are filled in but are still intact and can be used. The front end looks like someone backed into it and bent the bumpers down, this can be straightened out. The front bumpers probably could be rechromed. The back bumpers were customized so will need to be replaced. The headlights are missing as well as the grill,windshield wipers,cowl vents, tailights and rocker moldings. This stuff usually gets replaced upon restoration anyways. The interior is very complete and in good shape. It appears to be all original. The carpet was original but nasty so I removed it. It comes with the convertible top bows. Windshield and door glass are in good shape. The seats, door panels and dash pads are in very good condition for it's age. The odometer shows 37000 miles and based on the length of time it sat and the condition of the brake and clutch pedal it could be accurate but I in no way represent it is original. This car needs complete restoration so the mileage doesn't matter. The frame and bird cage are VERY solid. The frame has only surface rust from setting so long. The body appears it has never been off the frame. The frame is straight and appears it has never been wrecked or worked on. The engine compartment looks to be original. The heads, distributer and air cleaner are missing. The block number matches the vin #. The radiator,carburater and other components appear to be original. The valve covers and exhaust manifolds are included. This would make a great project car. I was going to resto-mod it but decided that it is too original to cut up and don't have the time to do it now. Seller has this for sale locally and reserves the right to end auction at anytime. The transmission is a 4 speed and the numbers match the vin as well. casting # 3851325 Body tag Style 867 Trim 491Q 923A Paint It has a Carter carb. Intake 3844459 Most of the paint is stripped off the car. It will need some body work but the panels should not need replacing. I would replace the hood as it has three holes cut in it from the custom scoops installed years ago.
