Vehicle Detail

I'm selling Sally....So .if you are looking for an original classic 1965 first yr production mustang fastback..this could be your car. This car is original, and for the most part completely stock,. The engine is a 289 V8, 'A'Code, 4V,(rebuilt) ... 3sp manual with rally pac and 2.83.1 (L code) positraction. Data Plate: 63A R 26 10A 51 1.1 Sally was originally ordered out of Denver, CO. (DSO 51). I've owned her car for 10 yrs... and driven her less that 2,000 miles... always garaged.. interior is original and in excellent condition for its age. Exterior paint has some minor paint chips and scratches... The car was repainted the original Ivy Green by a previous owner perhaps 15 yrs ago.. but is showing some minor blemishes on the left rear lower qtr. panel and the panel below the trunk lid that were there when i purchased her. When I purchased the car the mileage read 9136 miles..... That's the unknown about this car... I had Sally inspected and appraised after I purchased her, the appraiser stated in his report that Sally was in exceptionally fine shape for her age...could she have 109,000 miles on her? perhaps, but hard to imagine once you have seen her and driven her...she is in solid condition, the Engine clean, runs strong, burns no oil... has lots of power... steering is tight, and according to her mechanics she is still running with original ball joints, I replaced the brakes and wheel cylinders in June. I've had the four barrel carb. rebuilt, installed new flow master exhaust, and all new suspension front and rear... New wheels. She drives like a 90's sports car. I replaced the original 'falcon' instrument cluster, with the 65 GT instrument gauge cluster shortly after i acquired her and had a speedometer shop set the same mileage on the odometer as the original... it currently reads 10,847.6. I still have the original instrument cluster. I added the GT grill lights in front and an AM/FM cassette radio, (i still have original working AM radio)... I think Sally runs as nice as the day she came off a Colorado dealer in 1965 ... everything is in good working mechanical order. I fixed the passenger door latch, (the lock mech. was sticking) and the door panel had never been removed.. the factory water shield was perfect and still intact..never been removed or opened...i replaced it in the same condition. for more details or questions please contact me. Don't be afraid to bid on Sally, Her reserve price is surprisingly low. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Warranty This vehicle is being sold as is. On Mar-29-11 at 23:52:39 PDT, seller added the following information: I was ask if this car is accident free: Water free, and how the transmission shifted: I have not been able to find any evidence that this car has been in an accident. I have inspected the cars underside, the floor pans are solid and show no rusted thru areas or accident damage. One potential buyer view the car, had me remove the rear seat...the floor under the rear seat is clean, solid and rust free... the left front fender has the vin number but the right fender does not ... if that means anything... the fender bolts do not show any evidence of ever having been removed...all have the FMC stamp on the heads. the left (driver side) cowl vent will drip water when washed if a lot of water is run over the hood... i noticed this after i purchased it...(this seems to be a problem with many mustangs of this vintage. I purchased a lexan cover many years ago that i use to cover the cowl vent when i wash the car.... i have driven the car in the rain one time and never noticed any water inside ... there has never been any standing water inside the car while if have owned it and i have never had the carpets up... the transmission is in full sync... shifts smoothly, in all gears... thanks gordon On Mar-30-11 at 19:14:55 PDT, seller added the following information: To answer another question: Yes the clock and tach in the rally pac are fully functional. I had them re-built several years ago with all new electronics , etc. .... both units operate perfectly. and No there is no evidence of wheel bearing noise or of bearings needing replacement thanks gordon
