I own a large salvage car dealership. I have over 100 cars in inventory. If you have any questions feel free to call me. I build a great car. My cars are not salvaged from insurance companies; I purchase vehicles from the City of Chicago Police Impound. Often times these vehicles only need minor repairs or body work; they have not been wrecked. I put new tires, rotors and brakes on them. I own a body and mechanic shop and check the vehicles, making any needed repairs. Most of my cars are ready to go, although I do have cars that you can buy and repair yourself. This vehicle runs and shifts fine. It has been detailed and run through the shop. You will need to do the final inspection in your state of residence under your states salvage laws .. *Special note for vehicles which are not actual on miles. A lot of the time, the vehicle gets titled “true miles unknown” because when I buy them there aren’t keys in the vehicle. Therefore, we check the state’s records on emission tests or service records and if the salvage title’s miles are higher than the miles on the vehicle once I have the key and can see the digital odometer, then I do not reapply for a title with the actual mileage, which could take months. Instead, I just “true miles unknown” the vehicle, for which the error is on the salvage certificate from the state and the miles on the odometer is what’s actually on the vehicle.
