Vehicle Detail

A true barn find, I bought this car in 1978 and actually drove around the neighborhood. I removed the tired engine and transmission but never got the time to work on it again. It was in barn storage until late 2010. The engine is apart as you can see in the pictures, and there are some parts missing. You will also see the transmission and radiator are present. The original green paint is showing through the one repaint from the 1950s. You can see exactly what you're getting, this car is not full of bondo. The car is about 98% complete. Clear Pennsylvania title in hand. Also included is about $1200 in new and Bob Drake chrome, wiring and miscellaneous parts. We also have new running board rubber. The car speaks for itself in the pictures. The body is solid and straight. The front fenders are exceptional, the rear fenders are in good condition. The hood is very nice, opens, shuts, and latches. The trunk lid is in good shape with one or two small rust-throughs. The doors are also in nice shape opening and closing with no sag. The lower quarter panels have very small rust-throughs which would be an easy repair. The floor should be replaced, but is all there. The bottom edge of the lower tail panel has rust through, but the inner gutter and toolbox compartment are solid. The bumpers and brackets are straight but need to be re-chromed. The drip rails are intact but need repair. The stainless trim is good and still on the car which includes a nice original grill assembly. The seat is complete. The quarter glass and two rear glass are new. Underneath, the frame is pretty solid but will require some repairs. All original hubcaps are also present. As you can also see in the pictures this Ford still wears its 1965 Delaware license plate, a further testament to its "barn find" status. The car is currently in New Jersey. On Mar-25-11 at 15:36:09 PDT, seller added the following information: We have received questions about the "black areas" towards the bottom of the driver's side, above the running board. These are not rust holesa...it is black spray paint applied at some time in the past. Again..the black towards the bottom of the driver's side door and surrounding area is NOT rust...it's just black paint.
