Vehicle Detail

Beautiful 1973 CB500 FOUR K2 original survivor. Got this from the original owner who had it sitting in his garage on a trailer. Cleaned it up. Gave it and oil change and filter. New plugs and end caps. New battery. Found the air box assembly at my local junkyard. New throttle cables. New chain. New headlight. Fresh gas and she fired right up. Rides as smooth as butter. I can see why people like these bikes it is a pleasure to ride. 14,500 original miles. Overall condition is super. Light rust on rear spokes. Small rip in seat in the best spot it could be, hardly noticeable. Very soft seat. One small ding and scratch in right lower muffler, other than that they are flawless. The original owner told me he had bought a new set back in the day and only had them on for a short time before he parked it. Have original owners manual. Clear PA title in my name. Feel free to ask questions I will answer quickly. Bike is sold AS IS WHERE IS. NO warranty expressed or implied. A 200.00 deposit is required at end of auction. Rest payable in cash on pick-up. Pick up must be made with one week unless you contact me I can hold it for two weeks tops. After that you will forfeit deposit and I will reslist. If you have a zero rating send message first before bidding. If you are the winning bidder there is no changing you mind, so bid to win only. Positive feedback appreciated. ThanksOn Mar-22-11 at 12:19:51 PDT, seller added the following information: Also replaced front brake pads, flushed brake line and clean and filled master cylinder. Took it for what is probably my last ride as its owner (14,603 miles). Everything good. If you ever wanted a classic Honda or this specific model, seriously, this is the one. It is amazing. I almost dont want to part with it, so bid with confidence. On Mar-24-11 at 08:35:37 PDT, seller added the following information: Someone asked about the tank. There are four small faint scratches and two dots on the tank (like pencil tip dots that have been there forever) (See pics) NO dents to speak of. Two are down low by the seat you can see them in the pictures as faint white lines which is what they are. Not bad at all. One is on the right side of the tank in the black area you can see that in one of the pictures its about 1/2" not tho the metal and also not bad at all. The last one is next to the gas fill. Small "L" shape scuff in the clear not the paint. There is a small area of paint missing tight up against the gas fill area, once again not very bad. Extremely little to no rust inside. I can see the metal in the bottom of the tank when its full so thats really good. Overall I think the tank is beautiful compared to ones I have seen, but I just want to be as specific as possible. Having said that there is a couple spots on the bike that arent perfect like the speedo dish has a rust spot and two small chips of paint missing on the top black part. Their is a little bit of rust on the mirror arms and the mirrors themselves have some small spots of etching around the edge. No scratches, and again I dont think its bad and I dont really even notice it. If you are having it shipped then you must understand this as there is no turning back if you win. If you dont ask questions then I assume you understand. But again its almost 40 years old and I still think overall its a beauty. I have no problems with anyone coming to see before they buy, just drop a line and I will respond quickly. I have tried to be as honest and descriptive as possible. My feedback is 100%. Thanks On Mar-24-11 at 08:48:36 PDT, seller added the following information: Sorry forgot something, there is a faint white streak that goes down the tank from the gas cap to about the middle or so of the tank. I assume its from gas from years ago. Its one of those things you can see from an angle but dont really see it. And also there is one rust spot on rear rim. The underside of the seat has minimal spotty rust. Also, have a set of rear brakes and one more oil filter for it that it came with. Man I think that is it. Thanks again.
