Vehicle Detail

I am the second owner who purchased October 23, 2005. Original owner was an older fellow who retired to FL. The vehicle has been adult driven and well cared for. Car has always been stored inside and driven on occasion. Vehicle originally purchased March 17, 1987 from Currie Motors located at 11211 W Cermak Rd in Westchester, IL from Dan Marzano. I have vehicle inspection sheet, copy of original title, all dealer documentation and manuals shown in pictures below. A very well documented and preserved vehicle. Runs and drives like new. Everything works including power antenna, moon roof, door locks, windows, seat, fiber optic turn signals, etc... If you wished you bought an '87 442 new, then this is the car for you. This is the last year of the rear wheel drive 442 and very limited quantities were produced. Around 4208 were made. Of the 4208, it is understood that 1,111 were T-Top optioned. My particular model has an electric moon roof which does not leak. The '87 442 was unique in this year due to gray dash plaques and 120 MPH speedometer vs. 1985 or 1986. This speedometer was registering in kilometers up to 146,676 and 8/10 of a mile on July 21, 2008. I sent the speedometer to a shop and they confirmed kilometer gears were inside the speedometer and replaced. I had them keep the mileage reading so the vehicle currently has 91,656 miles as of today whereas the odometer is showing 47,193. The top (from top body line up) and bottom (from bottom of original stripping down) has been repainted during the period of the original owner. The blending is so good, that if I did not tell you - you would not notice. Lacquer checking was an issue on these cars. The middle still retains its original paint along the original pin stripping. There are minor chips and wear and tear from normal driving, but nothing to be concerned about. Review the photos below. The only reason I am selling this car is the fact I have no time to enjoy and would like to pass this vehicle onto a fellow auto enthusiast. Please be patient in viewing photos. Photobucket is new to me and not sure how to rearrange photos. Also the color of interior looks somewhat blue in some of the photos, but rest assured it's gray and matches. I have the vehicle advertised locally and reserve the right to remove this auction at any time before its end time. Any questions, please feel free to contact me. On Mar-21-11 at 07:39:22 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to mention that I have a signed statement from the original owner regarding the odometer registering 1.6 miles for every 1 mile driven.
