Vehicle Detail

1972 Chevelle 400 Malibu Convertible I am selling a 1972 Chevelle Malibu convertible with the Original 400 big block. Engine is an LS3 400 (402). Original miles to my knowledge as I have owned since 2003 is 58,7xx as it only had 51,200 miles on it when purchased. It is an automatic (turbo 400) column shift. It has a bench seat, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning (no belt- worked when removed), 15" ralley wheels with almost new B. F. Goodrich TA radials, and power convertible top. Car comes with a white convertible top boot. First the bad news. Car has a small dent in the hood shown in one picture where the carb screw became loose and dented the hood. Ideal time for a new SS hood. Dual Exhaust system could be replaced but does not leak. Now for the good news. Car is in excellent original condition with a Maaco Signature Service (their best) paint job done in 3/8/05 in original Cranberry red. Paint job would rate a 7 or 8 now. New Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap with Permastar finish intake manifold EDL-75612, Edelbrock cam EDL-2162 (.500/.500), Edelbrock Performer carburetor EDL-1411. Car is quick and likes to go fast. The car also has a Summit aluminum radiator, SUM-380457. All original parts, cam, intake, carb, and radiator will go with a buy it now buyer. Underside of car is in excellent condition as is the interior, trunk, and the convertible top as can be seen in the pictures. CAR IS SOLD AS IS. NO WARRANTY OF ANY KIND AS CAR IS 39 YEARS OLD. $1000.00 deposit required within 48 hours of auction end. Car is for sale locally so I reserve the right to end auction early. Car was appraised by a professional Auto Restoration service on 4/21/05 for insurance purposes and was appraised at $24,000. My reserve is less as I want to finish my 69 Camaro (not for sale so please don't ask). Summer is coming, time to enjoy a drop top. Good luck bidding. Will help with shipping. On Mar-19-11 at 20:19:29 PDT, seller added the following information: Buyer to pay all shipping costs. I will help to make arrangements only. Sorry for any confusion.
