Vehicle Detail
Up for a NO RESERVE AUCTION is a 1992 B4C 1LE 5speed Camaro. This Camaro was in service in TX and was ordered by the TXDPS as a pursuit vehicle. Original black with white on hood, roof and trunk, it was a marked car and had a whip antenna on the right quarter. It was ordered through Knapp Chevrolet in Houston TX and placed in service 2/11/1992 and retired from service 8/1/1994. The TX exempt plate number was 609-851. The right front strut has writing on it that says Sgt. Wiggins, maybe the assigned trooper?? This has been documented and certified by the TX DMV and I will give the documents to the next owner. This B4C is unmodified and has the matching number block, transmission and rearend. I have inspected the VIN stamps on engine and transmission and they are correct. Absolutely NO RUST anywhere on vehicle, exceptionally clean underneath. Drive train is the 305 TPI HO, MK6 5 speed, and 4 wheel disc 3.42 positive traction rear, front brakes are 1LE from factory. Oil cooler. Dual exhaust still on car but catalytic converters have been removed . Original wheels, tires are very thin but hold air and do not vibrate. **This is my daily driver with cold A/C and hot heat, I put 13,000 miles on this car last year and it is very dependable** I drove this car 1,000 miles in 2 days last October to NC and back so fly in and drive home in confidence. I have owned 3 B4C's and this is the best I have seen as a daily driver. The Camaro has several holes in console and repaired holes as is normal with highway patrol vehicle due to equipment usage. This car is1of 589 produced in 1992. The Good: Original, Original, Original--appears all original body panels, no rust, daily driver, no crack dash, cold a/c, am/fm radio, Well documented with clear title, ECM is original to the vehicle. Runs very strong and shifts well. Low option car with crank windows, no power locks, no rear defroster. Heat, A/C, defrost and vents modulate perfectly. Extremely nice marked patrol car. The Bad: Front spoiler has rips at corners of front spoiler, some paint cracking at corners of bumper/headlamp pocket, RS and Camaro emblem missing from front, drivers seat has wear from service and a small hole at bottom of driver cushion, ok but I want to tell all. Small puff of smoke on start up (normal small block Chevy) but does not use or leak oil. Small tears at roof (again typical 3gen Camaro stuff), paint is not perfect, this car is NOT restored. Small door dings but no dents. The Ugly: No ugly :) Vehicle is available for inspection by appointment, I encourage you to inspect the B4C if you wish. Please call 615-542-1235 if you have any questions. $500.00 paypal deposit in 24 hours required and balance in 5 days. Car must be moved within 10 days. Call I you have any questions.
