Vehicle Detail

I have ownd this car for over a year now and have enjoyed it greatly, in this time I have redone the top end of the engine, installed new fuel pump, oil pump, radiator, heater core, distributor, double roller timing gears and chain, front suspenstion, rear air shocks, I had the Transmission rebuilt and new torque converter installed this past September. I was getting ready to get the body done, but I just dont have the time any more to play with it or give it the continued dedication that it deserves. I do have new seals, the actual am/fm 8 track, and a oem passenger side rear view mirrior complete with new dash plate and and assembly hardware, there is probibly a lot more that I cant remember right now. I have original books, manuals, and info pack on this as well. It only has a 13 digit Vin so there is no car fax on it, I bought the car from the grandson of the original owner and he stated he believesd the miles to be true as it sat in a barn in Cleavland , OH for many years. The interior is all original as well and it does have a couple of areas in need of repair ( drivers door panal, dash pad, and drivers seat) it does have a pretty nice equiptment package that was offered during this era, Tilt, 60/40 front seat, pwr wds, pwr brakes, landau roof, A/C am/fm 8 track, rally wheels, the GS pkg,and the Stage 1 w/posi rear end. I have checked , and this also seems to be the only year for this body of the Rivera , as it took the new version of the rear end but was the only year of this style that had the round headlights. This is a truly rare vehicle as the 1974 Buick Grand Sport, Stage 1 coupe produced only 4,119 . Of the Buick Riviera's built in 1974 there were only 1,698 upgraded to the 245 horsepower Stage I engine, an increase of 15 horsepower over the standard 455. Convenience options became more common, as 99.5% had air conditioning, 97.7% had power windows, 76.3% had vinyl roofs, and other available options included trunk carpeting, automatic level control, body striping, AM/FM 8-track players, and the Landau roof, among others. The $108 GS ride and handling package included a rear stabilizer bar, steel belted radial tires, radial tuned suspension, and GS ornamentation. The Stage I option added $139 to the price, with the large port Stage I engine, positive traction differential, and a chrome-plated air cleaner. Sadly, 1974 would also be the last year the Stage 1 engine option was offered. thank you for looking and if you need more info or photos please ask. If you do not have the money , please save us all dont bid! I do not have a buy it now , nor will there be one so please dont ask. Vehicle is also listed locally and I reserve the right to end auction early. I HAD TO RELIST DO TO EBAY SAYING ONE THING THEN DOING THE THE OTHER, I APPOLIGIZE FOR ANY PROBLEMS THIS HAS CAUSED ANY OF YOUOn Mar-13-11 at 17:55:33 PDT, seller added the following information: To be fair to all, any one who has called me from my local add, I have told them they can come and see the car but due to Ebay cancelling and then relisting and all the people that had bidded, I felt it only fair that they also go thru E-Bay .
