Re-listing: 1957 Chevrolet Bel-Air four door sedan. Car is mechanically solid and all signals, lights, electric wipers work. Car has new battery, fresh rebuit 283 with small cam (I do have what I believe to be the original 265 V8), fresh rebuild on the original two-speed powerglide (car/transmission is looking for another gear at about 60 MPH because the two-speed wasn't made for highway speeds), new exhaust all the way out the back, new brakes (manual) all the way around, new gas tank (with sending unit and straps). Car does have deluxe heater that works well and is easier to add aftermarket air. Car is very solid and was restored in mid-eighties. Since that time has spent most of it's time garaged or under carport. Chrome is driver quality at best, and so is the paint. The paint is showing it's age (several chips and a few bubbles in the lower quarter panels) and was originally Colonial Cream (yellow). The interior could use an overhaul as well, but is in presentable condition (driver). It is black on white in an original style with black carpeting and a white, cloth headliner. The windshield has a couple of small cracks and some discoloration, the vent windows have some bubbling, and the rest of the glass is fine (could use buffing). Car is very original with the exception of color, generator (change to alternator, but I do have the generator), and engine. Car needs nothing to drive and enjoy. I am currently looking for the door/trunk key...if I can't find it (it has been in the shop for 7 years until recent drivetrain work), then I will be speaking with a few people about making a new one.
