Vehicle Detail

1993 Chevy Corvette (40th Aniversery Edition)!!!!!!!!!! I am going to be as straight forward and honest with providing the most accurate description of this car as I can be. Any other question or inquires about the car can be emailed to me or sent through ebay. The history of the car..... I bought this car a couple of years ago out of a speed shop in Texas. The guy I bought it from was an employee of the speed shop and was storing and working on the car as a "project". As the economy fell the guy was laid off and as a result encountered a heavy debt towards his house. I bought the car off of him for the amount he owed on his house, and had the car trucked to Gainesville, Fl (where the car currently resides). To my suprise when I recieved the car it was missing a couple things (mainly a couple brackets/more below). I contacted the previous owner and he promised he had all the missing parts and was going to send them to me once he cleaned out his garage. I never recieved anything. It turns out the guy took the money and ran, skipping out on the house and all the missing parts were left to the bank when they foreclosed. I was the first to crank the car since the engine and transmission rebuild (more below) and since it had straight pipe extensions on it, the car almost literaly shook the whole neighborhood. Since than I have only cranked the car one other time (after I brought th car back to my house out of dry storage/more below). I have since then installed some of the missing parts (a/c bracket, stock exhaust, interior vents, nuts, bolts, etc.) The car was in a dry storage warehouse for the past couple years, until recently when I moved it over to my house to sell the car. The car is for sale locally. The good stuff..... The car is black, with a fresh paint job (only a couple years old). The car was dissasembled (mainly front end) and inspected for any signs of warping or damage to the frame. There was none. The car comes with a painted glass targa top. The engine and transmission have been completly rebuilt and have zero miles on them. The engine block and crankshaft were taken for inspection, checked for manga flux, rebalenced, and reinstalled. The transmision was done the same. They had a radical cam installed in the engine(not for the weak of heart!!!!) , along with new high performance forged pistons and rings. Any other work done by the previous owner I am unaware of but I am sure there is more. He susposedly had a little over $9,000 invested in the car. (I myself have a large chunk of change also invested in the car). If the price is just than the straight pipes that I got the with the car will also be included in the sale (it is up to you to transport them if you want them). I am unsure of the exact mileage on the body but I am almost certain it is around 100,000 miles. Again the engine and transmission mileage is zero. I was the first to crank the engine after rebuild. The car comes with a open Texas title (I have not even put the car in my name). The interior is almost flawless (with respect to the cars age). It comes with all the features of the 40th Aniversery Edition Corvette, including (to my knowledge) all the power features. The car comes with some relativly new chrome Z06 rims on low profile tires. The bad stuff...... The car does have some scratches throughout the exterior. However I am unaware of any of them being anything major. You should be able to buff them out with a little time and effort. Th interior has a couple of minor flaws including some wear and small tears in the seats, a stain on the carpet in the rear (see pictures), and a couple misssing screws. Again nothing major with respect to it age. The stain may even come out with some carpet cleaner, I have not tried to remove it. The biggest problem is this.... the car has a fresh engine and tranny, both of which work perfectly as they should, HOWEVER the engine is missing a couple of brackets that hold down the alternator and starter (and possbily one or two more engine brackets) because of this the car can not be driven down the street because the belt shakes to much and flies off straight up in the air when the car is reved. Without these brackets the car CANNOT be driven. You will have to find/fabracate them and install them before the car is drivable. I also have the a/c compressor but it is not hooked up. The battery is also dead from sitting and so the car will need a new battery. There are also a few bolts missing, but nothing that cannot be replaced with a trip to your local hardware store (as long as you know what you are doing). The bottom line..... This car is a true work of art, and is a true mix of beauty (astetically) and a beast (power wise). However it does need a small amount of money to be complete. Overall I watch cars (especially corvettes) on ebay and I know I am not going to get what I would like to get or even what I have into this car. I know with a little more work this car would sell for more than double what I am asking. However I can live with that and I need the money at this point. The car is being sold as is. Period. I have already invested alot of time and money in this car and I will leave the completion up to the buyer. I do have the car for sale locally and I have had many inquiries about the car. I do reserve the right to end this auction at any time I see fit. I do have one very interested buyer who may very well purchase the veichle before the end of this auction and as such I would recomend that any one interested in buying this car doesn't procrastinate to the last second as they may miss getting a great deal. As stated above, if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thank you for your time and happy bidding! :)
