well here it is, muscle bike fans, this 1978 gs1000 was my dad's personal dealer bike back in the late 70's when he owned a suzuki shop. inherited to me due to his death in 2009. mso still apply's never titled, so bill of sale can be given to lucky winner. basically stored since 1981 only 3736 miles on her. in the fall of 2009 went through bike completly, put 139 miles on her that fall. bike is loaded with after market parts. when the bike was new he took engine apart, installed racing pistons, yoshimira cams, bigger smooth bore carbs, velocity stacks, heavy duty clutch basket, clutch and springs. oil cooler, oil pressure gage, 4 into 1 header pipe, also have 2 different ignition systems, points or electronic, put a new tire on the rear this winter and fresh oil in the forks. 0 miles on them. this bike is mint condition and will flat scare you! feel free to call for any question or offers my name is gene(660-258-2559). times are tough some things have got to go! so happy bidding. p.s. battery went south so it will need a new one. also for sale locally so auction could end any time. thanksOn Mar-10-11 at 04:11:51 PST, seller added the following information: also keep getting questions about paint that is the original suzuki paint never wrecked or layed over and whos going to build a engine like this one and not see what shes made of we had a rival honda kawasaki shop right up the road from us back in the late 70's so you can imagine where that went there was some racing for money.good times thanks
