Vehicle Detail

RARE RARE RARE!!! 1961 Cadillac Miller Meteor Ambulance. The body is slightly different from Ecto 1, which is a 1959 Miller Meteor Ambulance. The front clip and quarter panels are different, but from the doors up, this vehicle is a 1959 Miller Meteor Ambulance. It has all the same ambulance trim and windows as a 1959 and 1960 Miller Meteor Ambulance. If you're restoring one of those, you probably need many parts from the vehicle I have for sale. You could put a 1959 Cadillac front clip and quarter panels on this car, and you'd be 95% of the way towards an accurate Ecto 1. Here's the good part. It is a complete car, only missing the hood and grille. The 3 pieces of curved glass, THE RAREST AND MOST VALUABLE GLASS IN THE WORLD, are in mint condition. The aluminum ambulance trim around all the windows is near perfect. This trim is in the best condition you will ever find. All it needs is a good polishing. All of the interior ambulance trim is there. The divider is there, and the divider glass is in good condition. 95% of the rest of the trim is there too and is in restorable condition. The frame is solid. Here's the not so good part. This is a parts car. Time has not been kind to the sheet metal on this vehicle. Everything from the wheelwells down is rusted out. I won't say this vehicle is beyond repair, but it's not for the faint of heart. The doors are salvagable, but will probably cost several thousand dollars to repair the rust if you hire someone. The floors are gone, which also means that all the casket rollers in the back are gone. The roof has rusted through in several parts. The windshield is cracked, and two windows on the driver side are broken. At least that's flat glass so a glass shop could make new ones. There is no title for the vehicle. It does roll, but you'll need 3 guys to push it since it weighs 6,000 lbs. Payment in full is required within one week of purchase. I accept cash and cashier's check, wire transfer, or a personal check that would have to clear before the car is picked up. I can hang onto the vehicle for a few weeks after purchase, but I'd like it picked up before April is done. I don't have the time to part this vehicle out, but there are enough rare parts on this vehicle to justify the asking price. I'm parting out a 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood Limousine, which I included a picture. I need the front clip, quarter panels, and exterior trim, but everything else is for sale. Other than a very small amount of surface rust, the doors, roof, and trunk lid are rust free. The chassis will be for sale once I get the parts I need off it. The previous owner told me he had the car running two years ago. Most of the interior is there, but it's removed and thrown in a pile inside the car. The chassis will come with a title. Email me if you're interested in any parts. Thanks for looking.
