Vehicle Detail
'89 DODGE 12V 5.9L CUMMINS TURBO DIESEL LE Up for sale is a 1989 Dodge 250 Cummins Turbo Diesel LE.It has 72,640 original highway miles on it.The motor is a 12v Cummins 5.9L that puts out 220HP @ 2500RPM.It is accompanied by a Holset turbo with no shaft play up,down,in,or out. This Cummins model is the 250 which is the three-quarter ton weight class. This 89' model is a rare find,it has the Dodge "crosshair" grille, with a towing capacity that ranged from 16,000 to 30,000 lbs.The transmission pulls hard and shifts smooth in every gear. The truck burns about 22MPG of fuel around town. All oils and fluids were changed about every 4,000 miles. This is the LE which comes with the power doors and windows. The interior is in good shape,no rips in the bench seat, and no saging. The dash and guages are all in working order, including the panic button.A new battery was installed last summer. The body is in good shape, with all original molding still intact. This truck really has not seen a rough life.It has been babied from the begining and only was used to tow hay from one farm to another. Feel free to contact me on any questions,i will get back to you asap. There is NO RESERVE on this auction. *******There is a link below to a video of the truck start up and walk through.******* THE BAD: - Small dent passenger side bed, just over the exhaust. - Engine hood lever inside the cab is broken but fuctional - Power door locks need a new relay - Some areas of surface rust forming above the wheel well,as well as the side view mirrors - The paint has seen better days. - The rubber molding that sits on the glass of the doors needs to be replaced. - There is a crack in the center of the windshield.
