Beautiful ! Restored 1986 300SDL Mercedes Benz Diesel . In its day, it was the "Choice Automobile" of Diplomats world wide. It is a fantastic car. Well cared for, I have all the service records since new. I purchased this Mercedes approx. a year ago, and began restoring it. It had been sitting so we drained the fuel, flushed the tank and replaced the fuel lines and filters Performed a diesel purg,changed the power steering fluid, flushed the cooling system, replaced the water pump and heater valve. It runs right in the proper zone of temp in Texas 100 degree heat. We flushed the brake fluid and replaced the rear brakes and rotors. Installed a new A/C compressor. dryer, and Control panel and relay. A/C is ice cold.K& N air filter. New paint, new seats from a 1991 350 Mercedes re- dyed and lubed all positions work. Installed a dash cover,Tinted the windows, new Pioneer CD stereo, sound great! It cruses down the road at 70 mph beautifully.Transmission shifts smoothly. I get 26 mpg in city driving, 30 + on the hwy. The only flaws I am aware of are the cruise control works most of the time, not always, and the clock does not work. This is a fine car.
