Vehicle Detail

Hello-I recently purchased this beautiful vintage 1977 Ford F-250 Custom Super Cab in Colorado. I brought it to Wisconsin with the intentions of having it painted and finishing its restoration but am planning to move and am forced to let it go. It is a solid (a small amount of surface rust), original, western truck, that runs and drives incredibly well. I thought someone in the Midwest (where a truck of this age would have rotted to pieces by now) may appreciate this survivor that was manufactured in an era when trucks were built to last. The body is very solid (went over it with a magnet to check for bondo) and straight (no noticeable dings or dents) but the paint on the bed rails, hood and top of cab is faded. This truck could easily be restored to near factory condition (probably better than off of the line in 77' due to upgrades) with a little TLC and fresh paint. I believe it would be difficult to another in this condition with these upgrades for the price. *May consider trades* Contact me with offers. May also consider delivery depending on buyers location. Details: 1977 Ford F-250 Custom Super Cab Camper Special 2wd with a Freshly Rebuilt (about 2,500 miles on it) 460 CI 7.5 liter V8 an Edelbrock 4bbl carburetor and Edelbrock performer 460 intake manifold 3 speed automatic transmission Starts, runs and drives great Undercarriage was undercoated and is pretty clean (possibly from the factory) Factory air conditioning, power steering, brakes Complete original stock trim, lights, mirrors etc Original split bench seats with saddle blanket cover Very nice rear bench seat option that folds flat (see pics) Too many new parts to list All lights and signals are working Solid long bed in great shape Overall quite clean spacious interior Good glass all around, sliding rear window Less than 3,000 miles on tires and rims Brakes are great 5000 lb hitch installed Have all new rubber window seals and chrome detail kit in a box that I planned to install before painting that goes with the truck ( low back window will leak a small amount if raining hard and very windy) Fresh lube and new battery Heater works well (ac works never tested how cold it was) Nice aftermarket diamond plate bumper Net for a tailgate Honest man's observations: Dash pad (like in all of these trucks) is cracked. It has a custom green dash mat over it and could easily be replaced Fake plastic chrome trim around window seals has faded....as usual. The gentleman I bought it from mentioned that the main gas tank (it has two tanks) had some rust in it and if I used it much rust may clog my fuel filter (Fram G3 $3.29) and I would have to pull over and shake out the filter periodically. I took the gas tank off to see how bad this issue was, and it wasn't all that bad. I cleaned out the loose rust and flushed it multiple times with gas and haven't had any problems with it. A replacement tank can be purchased online for $160 (and its super easy to install) if it becomes an issue. Paint is old and faded, especially on the hood and top of the cab. The area around the drip rails has been repaired (they always rusted here due to poor design) and is ready for paint. The turn signal needs to be manually put back after turning. This is due to a $7 cam switch in the steering column that i have not replaced yet. The radio is old, it has an aux input so you can play your mp3 player but the radio and tape deck itself are pretty outdated. The tailgate was removed. They typically got beat up and discarded . I was quoted around $230 for a replacement one. Small dent and surface rust on front of hood (see pics) I gave it a nice test drive from Colorado to WI and drove it for a month before the temp plates expired with no issues. It is still insured, but is not licenced. I love this truck, know it is very reliable and hate to sell it, but am planning to head to New Zealand and don't need it sitting at my folk's place for the next year or so. I have been watching similar trucks from this era with way less to offer (not rebuilt, have some rust, paint/interior is worse, old tires, lots of miles basic models sell frequently for $7,000+. I have had handsome offers on the engine/body alone but the truck is in such great shape and complete I wouldn't feel right about parting it out. This truck is ready to go to work or to be restored and enjoyed for years to come. These trucks are getting hard to find. Own a piece of Classic American history. Please contact Denny 307 699 4290 with any questions or before bidding if you have 2 or less positive feedbacks. Please do not bid unless you intend to buy this truck. $500 due within 24 hours of winning bid. Cash payment due within 7 days at time of pick up. I may be able to deliver the truck for a fee depending on buyers location. I reserve the right to end listing due to local sale. Clear title in hand! Thanks for viewing!
