Vehicle Detail

Here we have a 1987 Toyota 4runner, 4x4, 4 cylinder, 5 speed. The truck currently has 255,000 well cared for miles. It is in really good condition as you can see in the pictures. I am currently the third owner of this vehicle, the previous owner inherited it from her father who owned it since it was new. This truck has been well taken care of its entire life, the motor is original and does not smoke or use oil. The transmission shifts smooth, brakes work well, no rust, all in all a great truck. I was recently married and my wife and I are looking into buying a house this year; this being my second vehicle we have no choice but to sell. I really hate selling this truck but my hopes are that it goes to a good owner. Highlights of the vehicle -4wd-Clean and Clear AZ title -5 speed transmission -Original 22re with 255,000 miles, does not smoke or use oil -245/75 16 BFG All terrains with about 50% tread life -16 inch Toyota Aluminum Alloy wheels -Moonroof ( I have the cover for it) -AC, power steering, power windows, power door locks, power mirrors -Fiberglass Top has NEVER been removed. The factory seal is still in place which means it does not whistle, squeak, or create noise at highway speeds -This truck has never had any bodywork, all panels are original, no bondo anywhere -The vehicle has what I believe to be the original factory tape deck (Kenwood) -Both CV boots in good shape, no leaks or cracks -Truck spent the first 11 years of its life in California with its original owner (father) before being given to the second owner (daughter) who lives in Prescott, AZ. The vehicle was then purchased by me in May of 2009. -No rust anywhere on the truck -Fresh Oil pump -Tinted windows -Upgraded taillights, clear headlights, corner markers, and blinkers - No rips, tears, or holes in the interior seats or carpet- Considerations -Truck has minor cosmetic issues: (Exterior) fiberglass top has a couple areas where a roof rack was installed and ripped off a piece of the rain gutter (see picture). Small dent in the passenger side rear quarter (see pic). Passenger door has a few small dents which were difficult to capture in photos. Hood has area where original decals can be seen as well as some scuff marks(see picture). Chrome windshield trim is missing a corner piece (see pic) (interior) driver seat does not slide forward, passenger seat does, passenger side dashboard has a couple cracks (see pics) center console lid is in need of reupholstery (see picture). Leather shifter boots are old and faded (see pics) Rear cargo and tailgate carpet is worn (see pictures) (Mechanical) The muffler has a pin sized hole in it (see picture) the valve cover gasket seeps just a bit but it is something that you have to monitor to notice any difference from one month to the next. The truck does not drip or leak any oil. Also, the cruise control no longer works. It did when I bought it but quit working one day. I imagine it is the actual switch in the cab and not the cruise control unit itself. The rear leaf springs sag a bit as you can see in the pictures. The vehicle DOES NOT have a lift in the front All in all I did my best to describe this vehicle beyond what can be seen in the pictures. Mechanically it runs and drives great and as I mentioned earlier it does not smoke or use oil. It starts up first time, everytime and I would not be surprised to see this truck get 300,000+ miles on this motor. I feel that this truck is a good example of what regular maintenance can do for a vehicle. I would not hesitate to drive it cross country, it runs excellent, has no problems maintaining highway speed, and gets good gas mileage. This 4runner is a great vehicle and it pains me to put it up for sale. No reserve on this truck Feel free to ask any questions, I reserve the right to cancel any bids of members with less than ten units of feedback prior to my approval. I require $500 deposit upon purchase of the vehicle, full payment is expected within 10 days of auction close. Thanks for lookingOn Mar-01-11 at 19:36:06 PST, seller added the following information: Buy it now is $5000On Mar-02-11 at 17:41:21 PST, seller added the following information: I recently received several questions from an eBay member regarding the truck. I figured the information would be helpful for other members to see... Does the back window work with the key in the tailgate as well as the switch inside the truck? Does the parking brake work? Does it have any vibrations going down the road or in 4 wheel drive? What kind of gas mileage are you getting with the truck currently? Does the A/C and power windows and locks function as they should? Lastly are you willing to work with a shipping company to arrange to have the truck picked up to be shipped to me? I will do all the leg work for shipment I will just need someone there to allow the truck to be loaded and shipped. I am very seriously interested. Yes the back window rolls down both with the key in the lock on the tailgate as well as the switch inside. Parking brake works well and there are no vibrations in 2wd or 4wd. As far as gas mileage is concerned I get about 16-17 in town and typically about 20 on the highway (going 70-75) although I have gotten as good as 22mpg when I keep the speed at or below 65. AC works well and is converted to R134A. The fittings are installed on the AC compressor so you won't have to worry about getting the conversion kit. Power windows work well as do the power door locks however the power windows are a bit slower if the temperature outside is 20 degrees or colder. Otherwise in warmer temps like 40+ degree weather they roll up and down at a normal rate. I am absolutely willing to work with a shipping company if you get all the logistics worked out. Thanks
