Vehicle Detail
1985 PONTIAC GRAND PRIX This car has been garage-kept since 1985. This car is beautiful. Matching numbers!!! EXTERIOR: The white paint is original. Being garage-kept, the paint job is in excellent condition. It has a beautiful white, vinyl top. There are no dents in the body. Original headlights, shiny grill, beautiful chrome on the bottom, excellent tread on the tires, original lock hubcaps (with original wrench in the glove box), original antenna. INTERIOR: All ORIGINAL!!! Burgundy cloth interior, ICE-COLD A/C!!!, original floor mats, no cracks in dashboard, no tears in any of the fabrics, perfect upholstery, no flaws in either door (no sagging!), the Delco radio still works flawlessly. No power windows or power locks. The only interior wear appears on the A/C panel. EVEN THE CLOCK WORKS!!! MECHANICAL: 305 V8!!! ORIGINAL ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION including all engine accessories. Smooth-shifting transmission... like new. Original alternator, air compressor and plug wires. It even has the original smog pump, and it is SILENT! NON-ORIGINAL PARTS: Shocks, front brake pads, lower radiator hose, muffler, spark plugs, battery, belts and tires. The shocks were replaced earlier this year. EXTRAS: This car was brought brand new from Vogt GMC, Inc. out of Arlington, TX. There is an original parts list adhesed to the trunk lid. I did not detail the underside of the car before taking the pictures. There's nothing to hide. I have the original owner's manual, original Delco stereo booklet, and various other paperwork. The hubcap removal instruction sticker still has the original backing and has never been removed. The original jack and spare tire are still in the trunk. The jack has been used a few times helping other motorists, but the spare tire has never seen the pavement. All four of the keys are the originals from the day of purchase. I'm even throwing in a Haynes manual. MINOR FLAWS: The paint job is so close to perfect, I could almost say "rust free". There are about half a dozen pinhole spots toward the front of the hood. I tried to take pictures, but they are so small that they wouldn't show up. There is also a tiny spot of rust in one of the corners of the trunk lid. I thought about touching it up, but I didn't want to mess with the original paint job. Finally, the "check engine" light comes on. There have been three different mechanics under the hood over the years, and none of them has ever found anything wrong with the engine. Having driven it as much as I have, I would feel very comfortable driving this car coast to coast. It has never given me any problems at all. THE BOTTOM LINE: Selling this car will help me finish my college degree. It's a great car. It has been "babied" its entire life. I don't necessarily want to get rid of it but selling it would help me invest in my future. I've never sold a car on ebay, but bid with confidence. I've got a 100% rating for a reason. I've listed absolutely everything I know about the car because I know it so well, but if you have any questions please let me know. I'll try my best to respond as quickly as possible. I've set a reserve for the car, but I feel it is very reasonable considering the overall condition of the car. Considering the age and condition of the car, it is definitely a collector. A deposit of $500 is required within 48 hours of the auction's close (PayPal). If you are fortunate enough to win the car, I will do everything possible to make things easy on my end. The title is clear, and the car is ready to go. To help protect your purchase, I will keep full insurance on the car until it's picked up. Additional note: The "auto check" states that there is some sort of discrepancy regarding this car. As stated above, the car has 61,000 miles... as the picture of the odometer indicates. The car has been driven less than 1000 miles in the past two years... which the title numbers indicate in the auto check. Please check it out. There have been no collisions, and the odometer is accurate. If you have any specific questions, as stated above, please let me know. I'm just a guy trying to sell his car. I've also got the car listed for sale locally. I've lowered the Buy It Now price because tuition is due very soon. It's worth more than that. Don't miss this chance to own a great "blast from the past". One more thing: I have listed this car several times. I've had to retract two bids on two different auctions which cost me the sale of the car both times. The last auction was cut short, just a few days ago, when an unregistered ebay user decided to meet the Buy It Now price and then proceed to send emails insisting that we complete the transaction outside of the terms listed on ebay. I am an ethical man. I will answer any and all questions to the best of my ability but will not go against the ebay policies I agreed to upon listing this car. I appreciate your understanding. HAPPY BIDDING!!!
