Vehicle Detail
Please read entire description before asking questions or bidding. This auction is for a 1993 Chevy Suburban. It has 4x4, automatic, 350 v8, power windows, power locks, rear air and heat and 3rd row seating. It has a salvage title. I am unsure why. I never found out. You can research it if you like. It has 253,000 miles but does not drive like it does. It runs and drives great. It is my wifes daily driver. I have done a couple things to it since we got it. Not much. The usual service and check over. The battery went bad not much after we got it. It has a brand new battery in it. The 350 runs terrific. Starts easy in the coldest of Iowa days and never smokes. Does leak a little oil. I add about a quart every 2,000 miles or so. We have taken it on trips and it does well for its size for fuel mileage. We got about 15mpg with it. The tires are not new. But have tread left. The front axle has a bad solenoid. So the 4x4 will work for about 20 minutes then the front axle unlocks. The part is $80 at advanced auto. For the buy it now price I will purchase and install new part. The heat front and rear works awesome. It will cook you out of the truck on the coldest days. It has been as cold as 0 to 10 below and it will take a few minutes for the engine to warm up. Not uncommon for a cooling system of this size. Once it is warm the inside gets nice and hot. The a/c did not work when we got the truck. I recharged it and it worked great after that. I don't know if it will need another charge come spring or not. It cost me about $30 to charge it and before it got colder it was still working great. This is an older vehicle that is not perfect and has some miles but it runs great and is dependable. It will seat 8 people and still have room for luggage. The interior is the best part of the truck. It is still in nice shape and comfortable. The drivers seat has a broken mount and rocks to the back. I have seen several do this. I am going to try and fix it before it is picked up by the new owners. The body on the truck is the downfall. It has some good size rust spots on the back right side and the front right side. The left side is clean of rust. Possibly the side that was fixed from whatever had happen to cause the salvage title. All around this truck is well worth the money. The only reason we are trying to sell is because we want to get a newer car that gets a little better mileage for trips. We have a pickup and camper and don't need two vehicles of this size. If it does not sell we will not be heartbroken. We love to drive the burban and hate to see it go. If you have any questions just email me. I check my email several times a day. If you have low feedback email first or your bid will be canceled. I am aware of all spammers so you don't need to waste my time or yours. I do expect a deposit through paypal within 24 hours after the end of the auction. The remainder of the payment is due within 7 days of ending. The vehicle will need to be picked up within 30 days or a storage fee will be assesed. If you don't have the money ready for the purchase please wait to bid till the funds are ready. I am not a bank and don't live on the expectation that someone will pay me sometime. That does not pay my bills. If you are not in agreement to these terms there are other auctions you are more than welcome to bid on.
