1964 Ford Galaxie 500 XL 2-door hardtop All codes Dataplate codes are correct: Body:63C,Color:Y,trim:82,date:20G,DSO:22,Axel:5,Trans:5 390 4-speed Z code only 58,378 miles This '64 Galaxie 500 XL has a very nice body and interior. The undercarriage is very solid as well. Has all the correct emblems and badging. Carpet is faded. Driver's seat has 2 splits. Nice headliner. Door panels are in good shape. Glass is also good. Dash is nice and guages are clear and everything works except clock and fuel guage. All lights, including white and red courtesy lights at bottom of doors work. Horn, wipers, heat and defrost work. Has new water pump and heater core last week. Tires are fair. Original XL hubcaps are good. The car starts, stops, and runs well. No visible leaks. Trans shifts good. Chrome and stainless are not perfect but shine up well. Paint is old. Age of paint unknown. Exhaust is quiet but also old. With new paint, carpet, and fuel guage fixed, you will have a very nice cruising '64 Galaxie 500 XL !!! I have not been able to locate this block number. Should be C4AE-D. I have not been able to prove or disprove this. I was told by the previous owner that this is the original motor.
