Vehicle Detail

1983 Chevrolet S-10 Extended Cab. S&W Race Cars rear frame clip, boxed frame, narrowed and powder coated Ford 9 inch rear end with Strange center section, 35 spline 4.57 pro gears and spool. Ladder bar suspension with coil over shocks. Wilwood rear brakes. Front suspension is lowered 5" via a 2" spindle drop, (spindles are powder coated) and 3" lowering tubular lower control arms, tubular upper control arms, (also powder coated) and adjustable front shocks, powder coated brake calipers and drilled/slotted rotors. Wilwood brake pedal assembly with Hurst Roll Control and Wilwood brake bias adjuster, quick disconnect fittings on brake lines. Full roll cage with double main hoops, Kirkey aluminum drag race seats with Kirkey seat upholstery. Impact Racing race harness for driver and custom window net. Aftermarket steering column with quick release steering wheel bushing. Weld Wheels aluminum drag race rims, front and rear tires are used Mickey Thompson race tires and used for vehicle set up. S&W Race Cars drag race parachute mount, (powder coated) includes chute release handle and cable not yet mounted to roll cage. Truck bed tips with electric motor higher than is shown tipped in the photos. Roll cage and support braces for floor need finish welding, (I planned on turning the frame upside down to finish welding the bottom seams). My plan was to have the frame media blasted again and powder coated. Truck is set up so that it could be driven without the body on. Everything necessary to drive the truck is mounted to the frame and/or roll cage. Cab removes over the roll cage and the bed is made to clear the rear section of the roll cage. Tilt front end is made from stock S-10 hood, fender and front valance piece. Hinges are made from early style bumper mounts. All un-necessary holes in the frame are welded closed and I boxed in the frame. Floor is easily removable and I installed a flat fire wall, my intent was to have only the steering shaft and throttle linkage come through the firewall. The drive shaft was designed to be used with a turbo 350/400 transmission even though I have a B&M Pro Bandit power glide shifter yet to be installed. The doors are made to be removed easily with a pin and hinge design. The door handles are shaved and I have the release levers mounted, they are not shown in the photos because I started the body work on the doors. I have inside door panels made and Chevy emblem door pulls yet to be mounted. The fuel cell is rear mounted behind the rear axle and is a 16 gallon powder coated aluminum fuel cell. I also have the truck set up for a mid mount motor plate with solid front motor mounts and solid transmission mount, the transmission cross member still needs to be fabricated. There is a lot of body work needed and the wiring needs to be done as well as run the fuel lines/ fuel pump. I have the lower door skins for both doors, I also have the new cab corners and extensions not yet installed, the new rocker panels are installed. I would really like to finish what I started but my personal life dictates a need for re-prioritizing. I have many, many pictures and much larger pictures. If you want to know more or see more pictures just ask. I have new wheel arches for the bed so it can be converted back to a normal looking bed. The new Weld Racing rims cost around $900, the rear end "pumpkin" is new and cost $1300, the rear axles and rear brakes cost $500 the rear end housing/ladder bars/adjustable coil over shocks goes for around $700 and it is powder coated, the front suspension (powder coated tubular upper and lower control arms/powder coated calipers/drilled and slotted rotors/new tie rods/ball joints/steering arms/adjustable shocks) go for around $700, B&M Pro Bandit shifter $275, 2 Kirkey aluminum drag race seats with upholstery $200, Jaz aluminum fuel cell $250. This truck also has a manual steering gear box, not a "converted" power steering gear box. Please consider this when making an offer.
