Vehicle Detail
Up for sale is a 1966 Ford Mustang Coupe. If you want a real car show winner this is the one to buy. Car has been meticulously cared for after I restored it. The only time it leaves my shop is to attend a car show or a Sunday evening drive. Car has been restored now for about 4 years and only been in the rain once. I only remove the cover and dust it prior to showing. Listed below are the upgrades I have done to the car. Powertrain Rebuilt early model 302 bored .40 over(Plenty of oil Pressure) C4 automatic transmission recently rebuilt Hydraulic cam with .475 lift cam on exhaust and intake. (Semi Aggressive with a little lope.) Holley 570cfm street avenger carburetor with aluminum intake. Ceramic coated headers flowing into turbo mufflers. Chrome water pump Chrome alternator HEI distributor with heavy duty spark plug wires K&N air filter Aluminum radiator with chrome overflow tube 2 electric fans. 1 puller that is operated by a thermostat. 1 pusher that is operated by switch for extreme hot days or if other fan fails. 8 inch rear end. 17” chrome wheels sporting 225 size tires in front and 245 tire in rear.(Lots of tread life left on tires.) Suspension (All suspension components where new when replaced) Total control rack and pinion steering Front power assist disk brakes and drum rear Lowered front coil springs and rear leaf springs Heavy duty sway bar front and rear Chrome Monte Carlo bar. KYB shocks installed All new components installed for front suspension. Limiters installed to prevent any tire rub. Body All rust removed from body panels or panel replace where needed. Exterior of car was stripped completely then primed and painted with base coat, clear coat system. It was then color sanded to bring out the shiny gloss. On a cloud covered day car appears to be a darker maroon color and on shiny days it is a darker red. Very gorgeous in the sunlight. Engine bay was also painted with above process. Under carriage and trunk I removed rust or replaced body panels such as floor pans. Once rust was removed I coated with POR 15 rust inhibitor then top coated with bed liner. Bed liner is a great protector from the elements and cuts down on interior noise. Floor pan where coated top and bottom with the bed liner. Halogen headlights that light the street. All exterior lights with new covers and lens. Interior All interior upholstery was replaced with new at time of restoration. Shoulder seat belts Jenson in dash radio cassette player 4 Infinity speakers. 2 front in kick panels and 2 rear behind seat 600 watt Sony amp. Center console with 2 cup holder. New heater fan motor Positives Car is very fast when called on to perform. Has a nice powerful sound when sitting still or acceleration. Always an attention getter wherever it goes. I have numerous short conversations with other commuters just sitting at a stop light. Car has won at just about every local car show distant car shows. Time and money that I have invested in this car far exceeds what I am asking. What else can I say that it is just a great car for someone. Any Negative Window on drivers side slowly inches down if not snugged against top. Probably needs new rollers. If I used it for a lot of driving I would install a larger radiator overflow. Current overflow is decorative chrome and very small and will not hold all fluid being dispensed to it. I just add a little radiator fluid on occasion. The transmission pan needs a new gasket because it has a small leak. The big negative is I have to sell it because of divorce. I also have another mustang I am restoring at the time. No warranty offered or implied on this vehicle. The buyer will be responsible for all shipping arrangements and cost. Any other questions can be directed to me and I will answer as soon as possible. In the event extensive information is needed I will give you my phone number in private email. At auction close the winning buyer will be contacted and payment arrangements made then. Thanks for bidding. On Feb-21-11 at 06:01:05 PST, seller added the following information:I checked on shipping cost for car for any intrested party. For instance to ship to CA it would cost between $900 for and open transportation and around 1500-1800 for enclosed transportation. Anything closer would be a lesser of amount than this. This is only estimated shipping cost.On Feb-23-11 at 18:08:59 PST, seller added the following information: I will replace the transmission pan gasket this coming up weekend. This should solve the small leak problem. I did not mention in above description but the car was inspected by the American Hot Rod Association. It passed every saftey check they performed. Sticker on window noting this. The present engine in car was replaced 2 years ago. A best guess is that it has no more than 2500 miles on it. I always use the zinc phos oil that is designed to make hydraulic cams and lifters last in early model engines.
