I love this car!! Remember the big bad blizzard we just had here in Illinois?? This car saved my butt for a few days...foot of snow and it got me where I needed to go. Started every time and it was easily 10degrees out. SHO's are becoming more hard to find...in decent condition at least. Most are beat into the ground or on their last leg. I enjoy coming across an excellent specimen because they sure are fun to drive! I've sold many SHOs over the years. I realize the V6 ones were "faster" but nothing beats the sound of a hi-reving V8 grumble! The fun factor is a right pedal away...torque in an instant. I almost feel bad letting this engine scream to redline, but that's the joy of the SHO engine! Below you can see the tires are in great condition (70%left) on clean vibration-free rims. Above there are the typical rock chips and parking block scrapes on the bumper cover. Below....when was the last time you saw these plastic headlight lenses...CLEAR!? I could actually see while driving at night. The metallic black paint shines very well and looks beautiful. Hard to see but there are random door dings that could easily be dentbusted if desired. Don't forget the perfectly working sunroof....remember how the switch is ALWAYS busted and falling out? Not this car. As you can see, it's nearly impossible to display dings in black paint via camera. Just compare my straight finger with the bent one in the shiney paint! Ouch....not really. My finger is fine. Below is the only visible exterior rust patch. This is a typical loaction on the Taurus and Sable bodies. The other side is fine. Rear bumper cover has a few bruises as well....but definitely not an eyesore. As you can see, the body still looks great with no signs of visible rust on this side. Mildly tinted rear windows. Ride height looks proper as the rear springs don't seem to be sagging like most. Minimal suspension noises, if any. Car drives straight and smooth even at 80mph cruise! No pulling or vibrations. Engine fires right up without a hitch or misfire. Trans shifts smooth as it should. Only complaint I have is the left rear window doesn't work and there is an intermittent "service engine" light. It'll come on, then go out. It actually only came on once in the 400miles I put on the car. I didn't run the codes, I'm sure it's minor as it's typical SHO fashion. Yep! It's cloth interior!! Held up very nicely too...and I prefer it over the leather that didn't hold up well. not to mention the seats are WAY warmer in the cold....this I know from experience! Below are shots of the dash to show that all the dummy lights come on during start but don't stay on during run. Climate control works great altho I noticed the digital portion would act a little finnicky after it heated up. Didn't affect function. Radio works great and the trunk sports a 10disk cd changer. IDK how it works tho as I don't know how to turn it on via the dash. It's powered up tho since the cartridge pops out. Interior is super clean as you can nearly eat off the floor! Super strong V8 and smooth shifting auto transmission. No overheating. No odd noises or knocks. Very healthy. Recent battery. Brakes are solid and tight and only a tiny amount if pulse is noticable under hard braking. Everything, with the exception of items above, operates as it should. Cruises 70mph with Zero complaints from me! This car is truly turn key and go fun! Bid, Buy and Drive ANYWHERE with 100% confidence!
