Up for auction is our "Shop car" - 1991 BMW 325ix "5-speed" 2-door car, it belonged to a local customer of ours. We've had the car since July and have been using it as a daily driver in the winter- it's AWESOME in the snow!! The car runs and drives GREAT! The car has a CLEAN PA title and was bought by the previous owner at 27,000 miles in 1993 . If you are serious about the car, COME see it IN PERSON. We have no problem walking around the car over the phone but, we are a very busy shop and you will save everyone a lot of time by taking a drive to see it with your own eyes. We are: 2.5 hours from Phili, 2.5 hours from Washington D.C, 3 hours from NYC, 2 hours from Baltimore and 3 hours from Pittsburgh. Engine / Transmission: The car runs GREAT, shifts fine, clutch is good, VC / transfer case work fine. In 2008 (177000 miles) the car was towed into us with broken timing belt "tensioner", so, we replaced the engine from a wrecked 1991 325ix (Engine had 143000 miles), the donor engine had a NEW sachs clutch kit on it as well. All the belts and fluids were changed including a new BMW timing belt, water pump, tensioner, rear main seal, etc...(We are an independent BMW shop). The car has ANSA sport exhaust too! The owner did care for the car. We have all reciepts for the car as well. The front axles are good, the strut housings are good. (common issue with these cars but, these are GOOD!) Pa state inspection is good till April/2011. Body / Paint: The overall appearance is decent, the body is a little rough around the edges; there are a few dings, dents, chips, surface rust and scratches here and there. The passenger door has a dent, the rear quarter panel has some surface rust, the battery tray has some minor rust, the left front fender is a different color red, the front bumper is cracked, etc.... BUT, THE CAR is VERY SOLID, the floors and frame is NOT rusted out. The rust that the car has, is minor and most is surface rust. The car has 14" BBS wheels and NEW winter treads.... Again, I like to explain the car the best I can but, I would prefer you come see it in person as there may be something we missed. Interior: The interior is in GREAT shape! NON smoker car. COLD A/C, (Yes, I said it- the A/C is COLD), the heated seats work fine, sunroof works fine, dash is near perfect (has one VERY small crack) the ALPINE CD player works fine, the interior is clean, no rips or tears... The car still has the ski bag too! Overall, its a great car, I've driven it about 900+ miles myself and to be honest, I really like it and hate to see it go but, we have too many "drivers" sitting around and we're cleaning house. Come see it. NOTE: This car RUNS and DRIVES GREAT, it is NOT a show car, it is NOT perfect... BUT, it is a GREAT daily driver and is VERY reliable. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Payment: If you bid on the car, you must have the money, we are serious sellers, we are a BMW repair shop- Not some joker who is going to relist this car 20 times...The car sells 1 time and 1 time ONLY. Bid to win. A non-refundable down payment is due within 48 hours of end of auction (Credit card, PAYPAL or cash in hand), the car must be paid in full within 3 days unless prior plans are made, (Credit card, or Cash in hand- PAYPAL can NOT be used to pay in full.) This means, you CALL us to make arrangements BEFORE you bid on the car. Tax, tags, etc: We issue PA temp. tags onsite, PA residents must pay all state sales taxes ,tags ,fees, etc. Out of state buyers have the option of a 30 day transit tag for $55.00. All buyers need a drivers lic. and valid insurance card in the buyers name. Shipping / Storage: The car must be picked up within 7 days unless PRIOR plans are made. We don't have a problem storing the car longer once its paid for and we have talked to the buyer. Again- CALL us FIRST to make arrangements.
