This fine example of a vintage bike comes from Iowa. It was purchased from an elderly woman who was selling it on behalf of her late husband who bought the bike new, off the show room floor. The previous owner past away suddenly not too long after the bike was purchased and in their basement it sat for over 45 years. After some routine maintenance (oil change, carb cleaning, new spark plugs, new battery and some fresh 91 octane gas) she breathed life once again. As you can see from the photos it looks as close to new without ANY restoration a 45+ year old bike can look. The odometer reads at 563 miles and it shows. The tires are the original and have no dry rot or cracking and still have the nubs on them. The only down side to the bike are the pipes (of course). As it sat over the years rust ate away at the weld points where the header and muffler connect. The inside of the tank is a little dirty but nothing that couldn't be cleaned out.
