1972 BMW R-Series 75/5 Toaster I purchased this bike from the original family in 1996. I believe the paint color is Curry. The carburetors were rebuilt by Bing. The bike runs good, I put approximately 1,000 miles on it since I have owned it with no issues. The speedometer on this bike is off of an R50, the original had 37,003 and was working. The tach was missing the needle. The new speedometer has 22,716. The tank was replaced with a 1973 tank. The left blinker lights light up but do not blink. The vinyl has cracked on the seat on both sides which is now covered with tape. I do not have a key for the seat and part of the latch is missing. Overall for being almost 40 years old, this bike is in nice shape showing normal wear. With a little TLC it would be even better. Feel free to email with any questions and thanks for looking.
