For sale is 1997 Jaguar XJ6L. With 165xxx miles. And for those of you who know. This is the best engine Jaguar has ever made. The "bullet proof" 4.0 liter straight six. I saw a 96' xj6 with the straight six and it had 420,000 miles on it with the original engine and transmission. That can and will happen if you take care of the car. Which I have, only synthetic oil changes with all preventative maintenance up to date. (All done within the last 20,000 miles): Transmission service, and flush, radiator flush, brakes bled, two new tires, power steering fluid flushed, engine flushed, fuel injectors cleaned, new wiper, new battery, new air filter, new (top of the line Bosch 4 point spark plugs), full tune up! Kept up with tire rotations every 3,000 miles, all tires are in great condition with two of them being new, free wheel alignment for life! Just present the certificate that comes with the car to any Firestone retailer for as many free wheel alignments as needed. New halogen headlights, (sylvania top of the line bright white) new parking lights, authentic British license plate, and custom personalized plate that reads "MYJAGUAR" This car is a great luxury vehicle, a real head turner and conversation starter anywhere you take her. According to the DMV for $30 extra per year you can keep the "MYJAGUAR" personalized plate. You would just need to fill out a custom plate application once I turn the plate in. Which will be immediately. The reason I am selling the car is because I have credit card debt and am willing to downsize to more "economical car" I really hate having to let my baby go. There is nothing mechanically wrong with the car and the oil change is good until 169,000 miles. Again I have taken great care of this car. There are a few minor blemishes which all 14 year old cars will have. for example: a few minor scratches and dings from wear and tear. The clock as in every single Jaguar built in this time period, has gone out. It costs around $100 to replace or refurbish it. In the mean while I have a temporary clock in place of that one. The final thing is the interior. The driver side seat has one small tear in it, from normal wear and tear. But you should come and test drive the JAG and make a decision for yourself. It is a great car! I will be posting a you tube video shortly with a full test drive of the Jaguar. There is only one last thing to mention, there are NO liens on the title it is clear. However, by law I have to inform you that the title is labeled a "Salvage Rebuilt". Which I do not understand one bit. The owner before me hit a small deer, and it only caused minor damage to the front of the hood, grill, and one headlight assembly. And what does the insurance company do? Total the car. All that was replaced/repaired, was the hood, grill, and one headlight assembly. No airbags were deployed. It was minor damage and I have before and after pictures to prove it. Now for some of the features: Auto climate control, (very neat European parking and fog lights), one wiper with delay normal and fast speeds, cruise, pwr door locks, pwr windows, factory jaguar alarm system and remote trunk, factory jaguar radio and 6 disc CD changer, telescopic steering wheel, memory seats, one touch driver side window down, full size spare tire, new jaguar center caps, cup-holders, panic alarm, forty second headlight delay, interior lights fade feature, rear defrost, auto dimming rear view mirror, sunroof and vent feature, rear fog lights, "L" edition for the extended wheelbase (great legroom for rear passengers), three sets of keys, with one being a valet key, auto locking and unlocking door locks, traction control, auto volume adjusts to driving speed for the radio, and CD/tape player, the faster you go the louder the sound gets, the slower the softer the sound gets, pwr radio antenna, and so much more...... As far as maintenance, again everything was kept up on and all recalls have been performed and are up to date. Documentation will be provided.
