1925 Model T Ford Roadster with a pick up bed and a fiberglass turtle deck option. This beautiful antique automobile runs very good and has had the following upgrades: New wood pick up bed with plated antique hardware. Painted areas are aspen, and varnished bed surface is oak and black walnut New interior paneling New tires New leather fan belt Rebuilt carburetor New sediment bowl New front axle spindle bushings, kingpins, tie rod bushings and bolts New floor mat New brass rear view mirrors Some original 'Ford' stamped tools with tool pouch are included Complete spare tune up kit, including cap, rotor, condensor and points included NOTE: The photos do NOT depict two different cars: this is the same car, but with the pick up bed and with the fiberglass turtle deck (the original configuration for this car). Removing the pick up bed and replacing it with the turtle deck can be effected in about 20 minutes with the help of either a cherry picker or several strong friends, as the bed weighs approximately 275 pounds. Simply remove the bolts that secure the bed to the frame, remove the license plate bracket and replace it with the turtle deck, secure it with four bolts and remount the spare tire bracket and spare tire. This car has a 1926 engine and transmission, in addition to 21" demountable split rims. The original commutator and coil ignition system has been replaced by a more reliable 6-volt distributor with rotor, points and condensor which was original OEM to a 1956 Willys Jeep CJ-5. The floor mounted starter button has been moved to a dash mounted push button starter. This car can be driven daily, and tires (with spare) in addition to all running gear are all in outstanding condition, with the exception of an older paint job with minor imperfections, and a small patch on the convertible top, but neither detracts significantly from the general excellent appearance. This car has a clear Minnesota title. The 1923 Illinois license plates are not included with this vehicle, and the seller knows that they are not the correct year plates (1925 would have been the correct era plates). These were included in the photos to give the buyer a feel as to how this car would have appeared 'back in the day.' Plates will be removed and retained by seller upon completion of sale and prior to pickup by ultimate buyer. Also note that the spare tire has not been mounted on the pickup application. To do so would require a decision to mount it on the driver side running board which would necessitate drilling holes into the running board in order to insert the hardware, such as u-bolts or other mechanical fasteners. Alternatively, a mount could be fashioned either inside the bed itself, losing some of the square footage available for cargo, or mounting it under the tailgate, and requiring some additional engineering to relocate the license plate bracket. I prefer to leave these decisions to the eventual buyer to make. Will transport to west coast (Oregon) for $3,715 additional.
