Up for bid is a very nice 1997 Sebring Silver Custom Corvette coupe...First and foremost - there is NO title issue with the Vette, the issue is referring to a mistake made on the titile with the last owner, he inadvertantly checked the box on the Florida title that read "exceeds odometer mechanical limits" if you ever saw a Fl title you will understand it's so tiny and hard to read (for us old guys) he then fixed it with FLA DMV. The car was just recently titled in my name as the new owner and I have clean clear Florida title in hand, the reports listed here on ebay just hasnt caught up yet...you can bid with complet confidence. The car has 56900 original actual miles now but I will be driving it until it sells hence the 57000 miles listed on auction This Vette is tastefully customized and a great runner - The wheels were purchased in January 2011, and are in perfect condition. Not a scratch or a blemish. They are high gloss black Lorenzo WL27 style with chrome dishes, tiresd are 30's in rear and 35's in frt. Each wheel contains a new tire pressure sensor, so you won’t have to worry about those going out for about another 8 years. The car also comes with the original wheels (with mostly warn) tires. In the rear you will find European tail lights. (Original stock lights also provided). The car has a Borla stainless steel exhaust system as well as a hidden trailer hitch. (Behind the rear plate) never towed with this car but it's there. The hitch is useful for occasionally towing a motorcycle. The car will also come with the original exhaust in case you wish to restore it to a stock look/sound. The Borla exhaust is pretty tame with a low rumble when operating in normal driving conditions, but very throaty and loud when wide open. Under the hood, everything is in excellent condition and always kept very clean. The hood liner has some spots where it has rubbed against the air bridge but nothing major, oil changed with mobile 1 synthetic every 1000 to 1500 miles, or (every year) as the car was and is only driven rarely Water pump was replaced a year ago due to a leak. The battery was replaced three months ago. The air filter is a K&N dual with a new throttle body and stainless air duct grids. This with the exhaust creates great performance! The dual zone A/c blows ice cold and has no issues at all. The most major work this car has had was due to a sticky clutch slave cylinder. (Happens to most C5s, so I’m told). During this procedure I I had dealer change the clutch to a LUK pro Gold, installed a Z06 pressure plate, along with an aluminum fly wheel. Transmission and differential fluid is synthetic and last changed a year ago. The interior is in excellent condition. The driver seat does have a small amount of wear It is pretty insignificant. There are no rips, tears or cracks. The shifter is a Hurst short throw with an MGW knob. The Pioneer stereo is hooked to an MP3 changer, an EQ and two amplifiers. I will also provide the stock stereo if desired. The transparent DK Blue roof has been replaced with a new one (January 2011) due to a line from the front to the back along the right side where tint/clear coat is coming off. This is a very common Corvette issue and it drove me crazy so I got a new one from Ecklers in Titusville, also have the sun cover for the hot summer months. The car also has HID lights with ballasts. These are incredible at night. There is not one issue with this Corvette Dont let the number of owners deter you from this Vette, most of the owners where from one family here in Orlando and last owner was an adult executive with Disney here on orlando. All owners where adults and this car has never been raced or beat on. The paint is amazing Sebring silver with a ton of depth and shine, engine compartment is spotless and all caps have been switched to chrome looks very custom. Also the hood houses mini blue LED's (see photo) looks very custom at night when opened or during a show. The car was tastefully customed, all original parts come with sale. Lots of bang for your bucks. I attended a Corvette Sunday Jan 30, 2011 in Old Town Kissimmee, Fla., lots of nice Corvettes all model years, they claim to be the largest Corvette show in the U.S. (Look up on line) ....I saw many nice C5's however what I did see was the same old C5's that anyone can buy, many of them in much worse shape than mine for $17k to 20K with more miles! ...My 97 is a awesome car and a steal for the right person ...and my reserve is much less than $17k.
