1972 Plymouth Fury Gran Coupe Fastback. yes they made a fastback / sport hardtop Fury in 1972 and so listed in Chrysler factory sales brochures, parts books, ect... Approximately 8,900 were produced. The 360 short block that's in it now is from a 80's van with 55k approx miles on it. The rest of the parts are original to the car. I did put a mild cam in it along with new lifters and timing chain and gears. The original matching number 360 bare block goes with the car. It may need bored oversize but has no damage. It was cheaper and easier at the time to use the other short block. Heads have had a valve job, new dual exhaust, new tires, new rear brakes and wheel cylinders, new front disc brake pads go with the car, but not installed, front brakes are good. A/c does not work, think it needs a new condenser. Transmission was rebuilt with a mild shift kit and new stock converter. Heat blows good and hot, needs a new heater control cable, which is the same as some e-bodies and readily available. Passenger side vent cable needs replaced. I have a good one that goes with the car, never got around to putting it in. Cruise control works. Has front and rear speakers, am/fm radio works great. I did the body over on this car about 3 years ago. Cut out the rust and replaced with metal. I'm not a professional bodyman, but it turned out decent. Paint could use redone, it's thin in places and splotchy. Dent in the front of the hood from a minor fender bender after I painted her. Otherwise it looks good. Interior is in good shape, needs cleaned up a bit. I've used this car as a daily driver for the last 2 years. It's a good running car that has never let me down. Fun to cruise in and a head turner. Hideaway headlights work. I hate to sell, but I just don't have the time and space for her , anymore. She deserves to be taken care of and pampered, not driven daily. I wouldn't be afraid to drive this car across country. However, due to the age and nature of this car, it is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty expressed or implied. I will NOT ship .
