My name is Joe and I am a licensed wholesaler offering trade in and off lease vehicles directly to the public. Buying your next vehicle from one of my NO RESERVE auctions could save you thousands over retail by cutting out the fancy lot, salesmens commission and all the other bull you end up paying for. I personally drive each vehicle so I can describe first hand how it looks, runs and drives. My description is my honest opinion of each car. The information contained within this description is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and ability but cannot be guaranteed as I am not a mechanic. Feel free to ask me anything you want EXCEPT "what is your buy it now". I will not end an auction early so please don't ask me to. Local inspections are encouraged if you live close to York, PA. An administrative fee of $99 is added to the final bid of each auction. Today I am proud to present this gorgeous 1998 Mercedes-Benz C280 sedan in a NO RESERVE auction. This great looking Benz is in well above average condition throughout. Just look at the photos and compare it against others out there! The dark blue paint has a mile deep shine and looks great from any angle. Other than a very small amount of rock chips that are hardly visible, one would be hard pressed to find a single flaw in this vehicles finish. There is also NO RUST on this Mercedes. Rust is a common issue on the C sedans around the door moldings. As these cars begin to age, it's easy to tell which ones were cared for and which ones were neglected. The tires have plenty of tread left. All the glass is in tact. This Mercedes is PA safety and emissions inspected through 5/2011. This is a great looking car that would look great in anyones driveway. The only other thing I should mention is that the lower chin spoiler is a little looseat the corner. This is very minor but I want to be as thorough as possible. The interior of this car is in near perfect condition, too. The only negative thing I could mention about the interior is that the wood trim piece on the front passenger door is loose at the rear (see photo). The carpets and headliner are all in tact and show almost no wear at all. The leather seats are all in excellent condition and show no signs of wear. This car comes with one key/remote for the factory security system which still works perfectly. With this Mercedes, you get power seats, windows, locks, mirrors and sunroof. Additionally, there is cruise control, automatic climate control and homelink which allows you to program your garage doors to buttons inside the car. The factory Bose stereo has been upgraded to a Sony CD player. I don't know much about it but I see that it is satalite ready, HD ready and bluetooth capable. The trunk is clean and spacious. Pride in ownership definitely shows in this Mercedes. There is a complete owners portfolio in the glove box full of books and manuals to the car. Mechanically, this Benz is a dream. The 2.8L engine fires right up and runs smoothly and quietly. The FIVE speed automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts are perfect. If you are looking for a C-Class (or any used Mercedes) make sure you get one with the five speed. This transmission was first available in 96 on the S-Class and then in 97 for the C and E if memory serves me. It provides both better performance and better economy. Driving this car is a pleasure. It tracks strait down the highway with no pulling or shaking. The steering and suspension are both tight and responsive as they should be. The brakes are solid even under hard braking and give no pulsation. There are no warning lights on and the engine held perfect temperature at speed, around town and at idle. With a low 117k miles, this Mercedes is truly a great value and will be sold to the highest bidder. Please bid with complete confidence...this is a great car I would drive anywhere.
