Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is our 1958 Chevy Apache wrap around rear window stepside shortbed street rod. This truck is really nice! It is House of Kolors "Candy Tangerine" on the exterior with black interior. The paint is around 20 years old, there are some minor chips in places but still looks great. There are a couple of small corrosion spots that are barely visible but I figured I had better disclose them. The truck is a driver. Its nice enough for car shows, gets tons of attention, and has MAJOR power yet will cruise at 65 mph at a gas sipping 1600 rpm. It has the mustang II front end conversion with power rack and pinion steering and power disc brakes. The truck rides and drives like a new car! The interior is new, and sports bucket seats out of an Alfa-Romeo. The gauge cluster is by Auto meter and they all work except the gas gauge. I have a new "Under the bed" tank conversion with a new sending unit that goes with the truck. Also has Vintage Air A/C kit that blows ice cold, a tilt wheel, am/fm 10 CD changer (Hidden, so the dash isnt butchered) and a hidden battery/anti theft switch. The wiring harness has been upgraded to modern wiring and fuses with a custom kit for the 1958 truck. You will notice how clean the wiring is under the hood. Everything that could be is hidden and all is clean and tidy. The bed looks great with restored oak wood and new stainless steel bed metal. The engine is a GM ZZ383 with D port fast burn aluminum heads, a GM intake manifold, a custom built Pro-Comp Carburator and Sanderson ceramic coated headers. This engine dynoed at 434 HP and 458 ft lbs of torque, showing 395 ft lbs of torque at 2800 rpm! IT WILL GET YOUR ATTENTION! The dyno sheet goes with the other paperwork. To handle all that torque and horsepower is a custom built 700 R4 automatic transmission by Pheonix Transmissions. The transmission is matched to the engine, gear ratio and tire diameter for a perfect set up. The differential is a GM 12 Bolt with 3.07 ratio. It could use a posi carrier, but I dont hot-rod it so its still stock. I have been watching these trucks on ebay for awhile, and this one is nicer than most. Its also one of the few big back window trucks I have seen. With all the restoration and custom work that has been done to the truck and the LOW RESERVE this will be a great deal for someone! Check my feedback and bid with confidence.
