2002 Dodge Intrepid - 104,732 miles, Fine Condition, Starts Right Up But Needs Work - 2.7 V6 - Sold As Is- I have had this car for over 2 years and have put less than 18,000 miles on it. I only drive if I have to go to the store or to school. This car was well taken care of. I am selling it because I am a girl and a college student and I no longer have the time or money to invest into it. The Car starts right up and runs fine but there are other things that a mechanic would need to fix. I am trying to list this as honest as I can but being a girl I don't know much about cars so I will describe the problems in detail as best as I can. The problems could be minor - They Might Be Normal - They could be major - It Could Be Nothing - I have no idea :( I just want a new car that I don't have to worry about. EBAYS VEHICLE REPORT - JUST TO CLEAR THINGS UP I AM THE 4TH OWNER THE 3RD OWNER JUST HAD THE CAR FOR A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME - HE BOUGHT AND SOLD CARS. TECHNICALLY ONLY 2 OWNERS BESIDES ME ACCIDENT ISSUE FOUND - A DRUNK MAN PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME WHEN HE WAS LEAVING THE STORE - NOTHING MAJOR LIEN ON VEHICLE - THAT IS NOT TRUE - THIS VEHICLE WAS PAID FOR IN CASH BY ME - THERE WERE NO PAYMENTS MADE THROUGH ANY COMPANY AND NO DEBT IS OWED THEREFORE NO LIEN WOULD EVEN BE POSSIBLE Things That Have Been Fixed: Brand New Timing Chain - $1300 Fix Water Pump Battery Was New When I bought It - Less Than 3 years ago Tie Rod - $100 Lines for the Antifreeze - $300 to Fix Problems that I notice 1.) The Antifreeze Needs Replaced Maybe Once A Month - I had the lines Replaced in the summer when the car was running hot - Everything was fine until about a month ago - Now the antifreeze seems to be going somewhere every few weeks. I just put more antifreeze in and it's fine. 2.) The Oil Light Comes On At Idle - The Check Engine Light Is On - I had the sensor replaced and they both are still on. The oil is full and the engine doesn't make any loud noise and the car starts so I'm not sure why this happens. 3.) The Car was Shifting and the RPMS were going high - I had the shop check and they said the transmission fluid was a quart low - They put new transmission fluid in and now the Rpms are normal and the car has not been shifting. At the time it seemed as if the car wouldn't shift into drive - Today it's fine. 4.) If I start the car up and drive down the street and shut it off it might not start right away - It will turn over but not start - If I wait 10-15 minutes it will start again. If I drive the car 20 minutes and shut it off it will start right up - I have no idea what this is - maybe something with the fuel pump - maybe not? I took pictures of the flaws on the body. The front license plate was ripped off by someone right after the front bumper was replaced with a new one and left a crack in the middle of bumper - you can see in the pictures. If you put another license plate holder it would cover most of the crack. There are little scratches and dings that you can see in the photos - nothing major. This would be a great car for a man or mechanic that knows what they are doing. I don't know if I would drive it hundreds of miles before checking the problems first.
