This auction is for a great looking 1979 Chevrolet El Camino. This has the Chevrolet Monte Carlo front clip. The paint looks great. The bed has been sprayed with a texture coat that matches the color of the vehicle. The vehicle has no smog equipment except for the charcoal canister that was left in the engine compartment. This vehicle can be purchased in California but the vehicle will not pass a California smog test. It must have all the required equipment. This vehicle has been partially restored. The interior is very clean and the stereo has some great sound. The wiring in the dash has been cut or disconnected. Some lights works but I have not driven the vehicle at night. It has an after market shifter. I do not know the brand of the shifter or kit that was installed. The engine appears to be a 350. I do not know what if any work has been done to this motor or drive train. I do not know what type of transmission it has other than an automatic. The wheels are in good condition and they are style JJ. The tires are in great condition. California registration has expired on 9/2010. This vehicle starts, runs and drive. I have no other history on this vehicle and I am selling this vehicle as a complete vehicle and will not part out. This vehicle is being sold as is.
