Vehicle Detail
For Sale is a 1953 Chevy 4 Door. The title says it’s a Belair. The dealer and the title says this car has 77,263 actual miles. The body is very straight but has rust in a few places. We bought this car in 2009 from a Chevy dealer in Ohio on an ebay auction as a project for my son. We had it shipped here (Phoenix) and it has been garaged ever since. This car has a 350 small block out of a 79 Camaro the automatic transmission is a 4L60 from a mid 90’s vehicle and the rearend is also fron a 79 Camaro. The mag wheels are American Racing. We put in a new radiator, fuel tank, fuel pump, Edelbrock carb and intake, battery, chrome GM 1 wire alternator, billet HEI distributor, Lokar trans filler tube, and a Lokar shifter with LED indicator. We also have LED tail lights that we have not installed yet. The engine runs great. The car drives, but the transmission needs to have the throttle position switch installed and there is a little wiring needed so the torque converter unlocks when you put the brakes on. There are no mufflers on this car right now. I had a muffler shop put about 5 feet of straight pie from the manifolds back, so the exhaust will need to be ran to the rear of the car. It had a crappy car stereo in it that we removed, but it works and can go with the car. I would consider this a project car, but with very little cash, this could be a daily driver. I will post answers to any questions that are asked. If anyone needs additional pictures, I can do that as well. Key words Chevy, Project Car, Rat Rod, Hot Rod.
