Up for sale is a 1965 Pontia Tempest 2 door coupe(post). It comes with a GTO style hood, 15x7 Rallye I style wheels, a 455 ci engine, Turbo 400 transmission, 12 bolt rear with 3:73 gears, Posi traction and 3 inch wheel studs. It also has newer dual exhaust and sits a bit lower than stock. Inside it has bucket seats, and some aftermarket Autometer Ultra-Lite/Sport Comp type gauges. Two things to consider, 1. IT DOES NOT RUN. 2. THIS IS A LEIN SALE. I have all paperwork to make this a legitimate transaction. I leined it from a customer that had overdue bills. The engine does not run due to something in the bottom end that broke, I believe the snout of the crank broke. I have not opened it up to find out. The engine is still all together in the car. It does a a small amount of rust in the lower rear pass quarter behind the rear wheel. Other than that, the car is very solid. It includes a new griffin aluminum radiator(26in, 2 row, crossflow), new Felpro valve cover gaskets, new MSD #8528 ready to run distributor, MSD Blaster 3 coil, new MSD cap and rotor, 3 Tempest emblems, 1 Holley electric choke kit(#45-223), new Metro Supersoft trunk seal, 2 sets of qtr glass seals for a hardtop, 1 universal transmission dipstick, 1 new WIX oil filter #51258, 1 new LH hood hinge(RH installed in car already), 1 new prestone rad cap, 1 new POS + cable tube, 1 original style floor shifter(no console with it) 2 car dusters, 1 new shift cable for the Hurst shifter that is in the car, 2 Pontiac trangle emblems, 2 455 emblems. The engine also has a holley carb and an MSD 6AL box installed THe exhaust is 2.5" with Dynomax #17749 suer turbo mufflers. The trunk shows signs of some fiberglass repair, some rust but overall is solid. Floorpans look good too.
