This is my 1979 Ford F150. I have decided to let it go. It just sets here in the yard. I dont have time to do anything to it. I was hoping to restore it to 100% but that hasnt happened yet. It is a F150 Custom, 302 V8, 4 speed OD. It is all original except the trans. Dad had it changed out years ago with the same thing. The engine and rear end is original. All the sheet metal is original. It has the original paint on it also. The tires are new, the wheels and caps are the originals. The tail gate was replaced years ago as it was damaged hauling wood. It has rust around the door jambs and drip rail. Also a spot on the rear wheel opening (see photo) no body of any kind. The truck has never been wrecked or been in the shop since we have had it. It has roughly 170,000 miles on it. Dad bought it in 1981 and I have had it since the early 90's. It has been setting alot during its life. It needs the carb adjusted now and a new fuel pump. It will not pick up fuel but will start if you pour some thru the carb. The truck runs good and doesnt smoke once it gets run a while. If it sets for along time it will smoke when started back up for a short while. The trans shifts good and rear end doesnt roar. I drove it daily for a little while in the last 1 1/2 years. I drove it around 16 miles round trip to work and back for a little while before the fuel pump stopped. Just dont have the time to work on it anymore with so much going on.
