Up for Bid! This is a great old 1955 Mercury Montclair 2dr. Hardtop No post that is in nice condition condsidering its age! The car is a very solid car with presentable paint, but should be repainted and restored to what it properly deserves. The car has an older paint job and still has a nice shine left but has chips and scratches, and blemishes and is not a perfect car by no means but I get the ol thumbs up everytime I drive her! The interior is in pretty decent shape but the seats need to be redone. The car has nice headliner, nice carpet, dash looks great and has been restored! The speedo works great on her. Gas gauge works, one of the blinker bulbs is out. The car drives straight and has a 3 speed automatic transmission that shifts like it should. Although when you first get her going it does have a little rattle in the torque converter. I was going to rebuild the motor and tranny but ran out of money. The car has good glass all the way around except a lil crack in the driver side side window. The car has power seat that still works great! The trim and all the badges are all there and seem to be in good shape. The chrome is mostly all in great shape as well, with the worst lil part of pitting on the front bumper but not bad, The good news is the car is super solid with solid trunk, solid rockers, solid rear quarters, the frame is solid, and floors are solid. When you look underneath the car it looks very nice and I was told the rear end has been gone through a couple years ago, and looks to have been painted, and touched up to look good! The car only has a few minor rust bubbles here and there. No deep cancer! The car was painted to the original color years ago. And I love the color option two tone look to this car. The car has what appears to be the original motor 312 V-8 I believe and runs good. I was told the miles are actual at 84k but not positive. The car has power steering, power brakes, and the brakes were recently gone through and have new wheel cylinders, and other new parts, Brakes work great! The car like I said is a driver and you can drive while you restore! This is a rare old car and hard to find in this condition to restore while you drive! Car has factory Dual exhaust as well! has Cool old Original radio, cool old clock, This is one of the coolest looking cars in my opinion from the 50's!
