Vehicle Detail
This 1967 Cadillac DeVille Convertible has been in our family for over thirty years. My father was a Cadillac dealer when this car was traded-in to the dealership in the 70's. He drove this car as his personal car through-out the 80's. It has not been driven much since the early 90's. This car starts, runs and drives good. However, this car needs lots of tender loving care... It has been re-painted many years ago. I'm sure it has had body repairs during her earlier years. The paint is faded and shows signs of surface rust in places. There is rust coming through the body in the usual places...ie. lower quarter panels, lower front fenders, ect. The frame has been professionally repaired twenty-some years ago. I believe they called it "sectioned." The convertible top has been replaced many years ago, but is now brittle and has shrunk, also has a small hole over the driver's seat. LH frt bumper end is rusted through. The leather seats are original, but the leather is cracked in several places, especially the driver's seat. See pictures. The trunk carpet needs replaced. On the good side, this car is a wonderful example of the beautiful styling Cadillac offered to it's customers in the mid-1960's. This car is basically complete as it was sold in 1967. Both sets of the original keys come with this automobile (still have the knock-out key codes attached). The original owner's manual also comes with this car. The boot that covers the convertible top when it is down, is in the trunk. It appears that the trim, inside and outside, is with this car. It appears to be complete. The last time this car had license plates was 1991. Tires predated that. We have kept after normal maintainence throughout the years. It has been stored in dry-storage since 1991. Every few months, it has been started and driven a couple of miles. As far as I know, it has the original engine and transmission that came with this car new. This would be a wonderful car to restore and bring it back to it's original beauty.
