Vehicle Detail

Here is an absolutely beautiful original un-restored "Survivor" 1979 Buick Century Estate Wagon with only 18,000 ORIGINAL MILES! That's right! That is NOT a misprint! This car is all original and has had only 18,000 miles since new! It has original paint, wood grain, chrome, interior, and drive train. As you would expect, this car is immaculate and un-restored throughout! It is nicely equipped with 301 cubic inch (4.9 liter) V8 engine with 2bbl carb, automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes, roof rack, Estate package, deluxe wheel covers, COLD A/C, am/fm/cassette, and trailering package. I have owned this car for about 4 years. It has only been in 1 other family before me. The original owner was an elderly lady who finally quit driving at age 94. I bought it from her 68 year old son! The car had between 14,000 and 15,000 miles when I got it. It runs and drives great! I just drove it on a 300 mile trip about a month ago with no problems or issues. In fact, I got about 22.5 MPG on regular pump gas! Car is smooth, tight and powerful with no issues or needs that I am aware of. It is not rusted or dented, and has no accident damage. Paint, chrome, interior etc are all in spectacular condition! Even the original wood grain on the sides of the car is really nice! This wagon has had the following updates and service: 1. It is on its second set of tires. Originals had flat spots and cracks from sitting. 2. Brakes replaced. 3. Heater core replaced, cooling system flushed, new hoses. 4. New belts. 5. Tune-up 6. Transmission serviced. 7. New airshocks in rear and lines (old ones were leaking). 8. A/C serviced and changed over to R-134A (new style freon) IMPORTANT: Please note: The rear cargo area is in great shape! The wrinkled carpet you see in the pictures is simply extra carpet that the original owner had put down over top of the factory flooring to keep it looking great. It still does look great under the added carpet! I would not be afraid to jump in this car and go anywhere. It to me is just like driving a new one! It is hard to find a vintage wagon in this condition. Most were simply worked to death hauling kids or goods. This car also does not have any computer controls, is easy to work on, and does not have to pass the compliacted enhanced emmissions inspections that most late model cars do. This is a rare opportunity! Don't miss it! Please call me at 704-661-1326 with any questions on this car. Leave message if not in. About me: I collect and fool with nice un-restored vintage "survvor" cars from the late 1950s to the early 1980s. I keep a "rotating collection" of about 6 cars. I will sometimes sell a car out of the collection to make way for a new arrival. This is one of those cars. I also somtimes will offer a nice inexpensive regular used auto for sale. I have been at the same location for over 23 years, and have been an old car hobbyist for over 35 years! Again, please call me at 704-661-1326 with any questions. Thanks for looking! Now for the rules: 1. Your bid is a contract! If you are the successful bidder, you are expected to pay! Please have all contingencies handled and your money in place BEFORE you bid! 2. A NON-REFUNDABLE $1500 partial payment is due within 48 hours of auction's conclusion. This can be by bank wire transfer aor cashiers check. Pay Pal is NOT acceptable for this. 3. Balance is due within 7 days of auction's close. This can be by bank wire transfer, cashiers check or cash in person. If you are paying balance upon pickup of car, it must be cash in person. 4. Car and title will not leave here until paid in full with cleared funds. No exceptions! 5. Car is sold strictly as-is at my pemisies with no guarantee or warranty of any kind. 6. Transportation is the buyer's responsibility. I will try to reasonably help and accommodate you any way I can, but it still YOUR responsibility. 7. I understand with winter weather, you may not want to pick up car right away. That is fine, I will work with you to keep car here for a reasonable amount of time. However, car still must be paid for within the 7 days, and I am not responsible for acts of God or circumstances beyond my control. You should arrange insurance on the car while it is here as I cannot be responsible for this. 8. An administrative fee of $95.00 will be charged in addition to the bid price. This goes toward my advertising expenses, paperwork, temp tag, etc. It does not cover all of these expenses, but goes toward defraying some of them. 9. Car is advertised locally for sale. If I find a buyer through that venue, I reserve the right to end auction early. Please call me at 704-661-1326 with any further questions about this. I am sorry for all the rules, but it seems that 5% of difficult people spoil it for the 95% who are good. Thanks very much for looking! Again, please feel free to call 704-661-1326 with any questions. On Jan-17-11 at 21:05:51 PST, seller added the following information: IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!!!! I don't know how this happened, but car IS NOT IN UPSTATE NY !!! Car is actually in NORTH CAROLINA, about 25 minutes from CHARLOTTE!!!! I go to NY in the summer, but have not sold anything up there in months. Don't know how this listing defaulted to that location. Sorry for any inconvenience.
