To call the 325 Cic Convertible Sport a car is a misnomer. It is more an instrument of driving because you are never in one of these machines, but part of it, a bit like an extension of yourself. So how can this be? My appraisal of the BMW system is that everything is engineered to respond instantaneously to input. Not only this, but to also provide feedback that is intuitive to the driver, i.e. you instinctively know how to respond.
In my opinion the 325Cic Convertible is a beautiful car. I really like the E46 in any guise, I think it looks fantastic. It gives as much pleasure to look at as it does to drive, leaving you with a feeling of ownership satisfaction.
The ride comfort is supreme given the wheelbase and suspension.. It simply does not crash over poor road surfaces, unlike the other competitors in the same class that will make you wince every time.
High speed stability is excellent. Aerodynamic Styling really does work, as you will find the car becomes more stable once you reach 100. Incidentally the 325Cic Convertible Sport seems to surge after 80mph. The body and frame are that of a thoroughbred sports car.
Being a bit of an engine fanatic and possibly knowing a thing or two about them, this is smooth, powerful, and produces a sound that has you wanting to drive mid-winter with all the windows down!
The interior is superbly designed and gives you that sense of being ‘wrapped around’, but without restriction. The seats are exceptionally comfortable given their sporty nature. The other thing about this car is the marvellous Sport seats and how adjustable and comfortable they can be. The dash is uncluttered and easy to use, and the dial surrounds are a nice touch on this particular model. The POWER Convertible top is a nice touch , no handles to secure, no adjusting, just nice and easy one touch system that works very well for a car this age. The COLD WEATHER PKG with HEATED SEATS will keep you driving this car a lot more than just in the summer ! Zenon headlamps add safety for vision with nite time driving. Be sure to notice the stars while out for the summers nite cruise.
The 325Cic Convertible is a car you will want to hang on to. You will find it difficult to pick it a part. It is clear that BMW have thought long and hard about every aspect of this car, nothing appears to be an afterthought. It is truly a well designed package where you feel every component is meant to be. It is also cheap to run since nothing goes wrong, and where else do you find a 2.5-litre engine returning 25 + mpg? It will last years too. The body is 80% galvanised, the engine is legendary in its reliability and service life, and the suspension is aluminium and uses hydraulic anchor points.
Im sure by now you have looked at several cars in the same number of years and all have been disappointing. Finally you have found what you are looking for in the 325Cic Convertible. Some notes about this great little 325: The car has been in a minor collision. It was repaired to BMW specs by an ASE certified auto body reapir facility. If we didnt tell you , you wouldnt know, but we are honest about what we represent on eBay or any other forum. The car is very clean, and has been well maintained. It is current on its oil service and has new brakes-front & back, new control arms ( known to wear out about this time) , Brake Pad Sensors, Oil change, & Battery.
