Vehicle Detail

Car history This car has been in the family since I was a kid. My dad bought the car from an auto auction in Pocatello Idaho in about 1975. He drove it for a while then parked it in a garage for many years after pulling the heads off the car. About 10 years ago he pulled the original transmission and motor out and put in a different 340 and rebuilt transmission. He drove that motor and trans off and on for 5 years then parked the car in a garage and it stayed there until he passed away 2 years ago and the car was left to me. I started driving the car and it needed a bunch of work so I rebuilt the front suspension, had new exhaust system put on then pulled the motor out rebuilt the original motor (re-ring and bearing kit) and put it back in the car. I didn't have the original 340 heads so I put a set of 360 J heads on and left the rebuilt transmission in the car. It has an Edlebrock 650 carb (needs rebuilding) and a 340 Torquer intake manifold. I still have the original transmission and that will go with the car. The car is running and it is scary fast, I can't afford to keep the car and fully restore it. Car needs The rear quarter panels are rusted all the way through on the passenger and driver sides the pictures show that. The right side front fender is starting to get rust all the way through too and has a small dent. The frame is in good shape, the floor boards are in good shape, the trunk panel is starting to have some surface rust. There is some denting on the trunk from slamming the trunk closed from being out of adjustment. It has the original carpet and is worn through to the padding on the drivers and passenger sides, the seats are in fair condition other than a split on the drivers seat. All the seat belts are there. The head liner is in tact but is starting to droop a bit around the light. There are holes in the back panel where the 6 x 9 speakers went and the vynil top is starting to peel off in a few places. All the glass is good, all the gauges work. The speedometer bounces some times when driving and the odometer is broken. This has been a fun car I just have many other interests and don't want to keep spending time and money making it into an awesome ride that it was when it was new. I'll answer any questions I can. Thanks and happy bidding. On Jan-17-11 at 00:08:14 PST, seller added the following information: I just uploaded a picture of the fender tag and the vin number. Thanks and good luck!On Jan-21-11 at 14:54:39 PST, seller added the following information: I just added a picture of a set of 340 X Heads that are going with the car as well. The number stamped on the front of both heads is 7015, some casting numbers are AAWJ 340, 2531894A and the other head has the same number but with a D at the end of the number.
