1995 Porsche 993 Cabriolet, Polar Silver, Gray Leather, 6 speed Original, Flawless Condition, 31,488 miles This is an extremely nice, well-maintained 1995 Porsche 993 Cabriolet with 31,488 original, certified miles. This is the desirable 6 speed 993, with optional 17 inch factory alloy wheels. It has always been garaged and carefully maintained, including a full and recent 30,000 mile service. The color is Polar Silver (which is a silver metallic color that has a slight blue hue, much like the Ice Blue Metallic you British car fans will remember on the Austin Healey 3000), with gray supple leather interior, and gray carpet. In addition to the 17 inch wheel option, this car has air conditioning, power top, power driver’s seat, original radio, power windows, power locks, and cruise control. The paint is all original and is excellent and untouched. The interior, including carpets, is spotless. If you are a picky Porsche owner (like me, this is my 8th 911), you may see that the drivers seats shows just a hint of wear, but appropriate to the mileage. The wheels are straight and true and there are a few light marks along the outer rim where tires where changed, etc., but otherwise very nice and presentable. The painted crests in the wheel centers add a nice touch. Present tires are Michelins with plenty of tread life remaining- however I would suggest tires in the future due to age, not mileage. All books and records are with the car, including the factory service booklet and the service history, which all document the low original mileage. Included with the Porsche are the manuals, books, original cover for the manuals, all service records, complete tool kit, jack, spare service parts, and the top boot cover. Everything is complete with the car as it was delivered to the original owner, original, and perfect. The engine bay is very tidy and clean, and underneath the driveline is dry with no leaks, just a couple damp areas along the base of the lower cam covers. Like a well-tuned Porsche should, the engine lights immediately, revs strong and true with no hesitation. Oil pressure is excellent, oil temps stay nice and cool. There is absolutely no smoke or weird noise. Of course, belts are all fresh, and the oil change is recent (Mobil 1), as well as the transmission oil. As part of the recent service, the brake and clutch systems were both flushed with fresh fluid (ATE blue). The factory recall was performed by a Porsche dealer for the engine wiring harness and no other service is needed for quite some time. These 993s are hard to find in original, low mileage, unmodified condition. It took me a long time, and I turned down a few upon inspection, until I found this car and purchased it from the original owner (carfax shows a couple different registration events- original owner moved from Pennsylvania to Florida). You may ask why I am selling such a nice car, particularly being a Porsche owner for so many years. The reason is I could use the money- I just bought a vintage Ferrari (so I‘m not as bright as I might think). If you know Porsches, you’ll know that this is a great car, and a desirable year and model for many reasons. If you don’t know Porsches, you are in for a treat. It is fast, it is quiet, it handles beautifully, stops shockingly well, is very comfortable, the steering is light, precise, gives good feedback, and this 993 will run all day long without a whimper. I can find no fault with this great car, and believe me, I am pretty doggone picky. The top is excellent and as new, absolutely no cuts, tears, or worn areas. The top material is black in color and is rich and unfaded. The plastic window is clear and unscratched. The top is power and works just as it should. I always stop the top half way down to make sure the rear window folds without creasing, so the window is in perfect condition.
