Vehicle Detail
1967 Jeep CJ5 Kaiser/Willys Original Condition Just recently purchased this from the original owner's widow. It was purchased in 1967 new in Portland, OR, and always garaged. The Jeep has the original paint which is called Presidential Red. Prior to me purchasing it in October 2010, it had been sitting for 5 years and the son had the following things done to it to ready for sale: * Brakes, wheel cylinders, etc. * Fuel Pump * OEM Carbureator rebuild I had recently moved to Arizona and had a close fellow Jeep enthusiast go over and give it the once over before I purchased it. He had mentioned it was everything listed and a few things would need to be done to make it an everyday driver. Upon receiving it, I drove it for a couple of weeks and these are the things I felt it needed to make it a dependable daily rig: * New Battery * New Radiator/Hoses * New Water Pump * New OEM Alternator/Voltage Regulator * All fluids changed * Gas tank hot tanked It starts first time - every time! This Jeep has a factory Koeing PTO and a Warn overdrive, and Warn locking front hubs. The tires on it are about 10 years old, but have 95% tread, with the optional deep dish 15" rims. Jeep drives very nice down the road at 60 without the overdrive engaged. You can see the seats are in great condition with no rips/tears; as is the top with no damage and clear plastic windows. Has dual vacuum wipers, which work excellent. Has a 60's era AM radio/optional exterior speaker mounted on the dash, and both work excellent. Since this Jeep has always been garaged, there is absolutely NO rust; and would be a very easy Jeep to bring up to a mint condition. It does have the usual small Jeep leaks... a dime here and a nickel size there. Considering the PTO and the overdrive, it is just more things that can have a drip...but no leaks of any consequence. T he jeep also comes with the orginal backseat in nice condition and a front tow bar. Feel free to ask any questions you might have.
