Vehicle Detail
This is a 1968 Pontiac Firebird Convertible. It has a rebuilt 428ci Engine followed up by an automatic on the floor Transmission. THE MOTOR IS DATE CODED 68. The motor is great with an Edelbrock intake. It has headers, electronic ignition, an Edelbrock carb, and a Holley electronic fuel pump. The motor has great power was completely rebuilt, bored .030 over, and gone through. The rear end on the car has about $3000.00 invested, with 3.55 gears. It is a 12 bolt posi rear end with some nice wide tires. The interior of the car is in nice shape with new carpet. The dash looks great. Seats are a little worn, but still good shape. If I were to keep this car I would consider new front door panels. The body of the car is in great shape. It has some surface dings and dents, but metal wise it is very good. The paint is black with a gold/silver metal flake. The paint is nothing to brag about, but not something to be embarrassed about. The floors are great, the frame is great, the trunk is great. This car is solid, and needed to be with the power it has. It has a brand new black convertible top. This is a great car and with a little money put into it can be your $30,000.00 Firebird. You don't find to many converts with a solid under body like this one. If you have any questions call 1-651-468-7575 if you have any questions or send a message. Thanks for looking. On Jan-16-11 at 20:25:27 PST, seller added the following information: Forgot to mention that this car was in Car Craft magazine in the 70's An article was done on it at the Street Machine Nationals. Also forgot to mention that it has tilt steering, Power steering, Power brakes, and deluxe Firebird steering wheel. Let me make it clear again to people asking, the hood is original GM hood, and the whole bottom of this car is a 10 perfect metal throughout.
