Here's a rare project that needs little to make it run and drive. It's a 1941 Dodge Panel VC (very rare) sitting on a 1978 Cherolet half ton 4x4 pickup chasis. Chev had 128k on it when I started this project, it ran and drove just fine. The main part of the cab is bolted and secure but the fenders will need perminent fasteners, I didn't do this because I was going to do some body work to the cab and the fenders would have been in the way. I do have the original 41 Dodge running boards. I have a fuel cell for this project, all the motor parts except a radiator. Needs a wiring harness (I was going to use Painless for Chevrolets), seats will need mounting, attach brakes to new booster and drive it. No one has anything like it, not in a 41. Front glass is good, side glass is good and roll up and down accordingly, rear glass is also good, passanger door will close but driver door needs minor attention so it will close. Floors are rust free but missing the wood center section around trans, and the wood bed. These trucks came with nearly all wood floors with the exception of the area for seat mounting. Even the trans/firewall tunnel was made of wood originally. Hood and fenders are solid needing very minor repair to make perfect. Fenders will need correct fender fasteners/hardware to mount more perminently. Steering is mounted and working, it uses the original Chevrolet powersteering system. The four-wheel drive system worked perfectly prior to swapping, the motor ran strong, trans was rebuilt less than 2500 mile previous, also note that the frame rails had to be stiffened up considering Chevrolet designed the frame rails to flex under the pick-up bed as the truck went thru dips etc. But with the panel sitting on the chassis now flexing would cause damage to the structure so it was stiffened up to prevent this. This rare truck is very close to being complete and will be worth serious money once that has been done. Additionally; I have both titles, one for the 41 Dodge and one for the 78 Chev P/U.
