Vehicle Detail

I bought this car for my son this past summer and it is a great car. We are selling it to get him something that has 4 doors because we have two other children and we never realized how nice it would be to pawn the other two off on him when he goes somewhere and ne needs more room. :-) Here is the history that I know about the car. I bought it from an old farmer in Eastern Ohio last Spring. He had the car for 11 years and only put 4,000 miles on it in the time that he had it. When we bought it he walked us out to a heated barn with a concrete floor where he had kept the car stored. He then pulled the cover off of the car and I could not believe the shape that this car was in. He had painted it because the old Teal was fading from age. The paint job is o.k. but not perfect. You can see occasional sweep marks in the hood if you are looking for it and the sun in shining right. We drove the car back that to the Columbus area with no problems and it has ran great ever since. I have not noticed the car using any oil but does have a very slow drip. If the car sits in the same place for a few days you will have a spot the size of a dime. It is from the oil pan from what I can tell. We put brand new Raised White Letter tires on it because he is a new driver and I did not know how long I could trust the old ones. And, I did take the gas tank off because we were getting some hesitation from the car at times and noticed that there was a good bit of rust in the tank. I ordered an OEM tank and replaced it and have had not problems since. The only things that I am aware of that need addressed are as follows. There is a wear spot in the carpet at the drivers foot area. There is also a wear spot in the vinyl door panel I believe from the seat belt rubbing against it over time. All of the vinyl on the dash and the seats are in perfect condition. The head liner is loose. The car has the original Motor/Tranny in it and it is a Pontiac 301. There was factory air installed and it looks like it just needs some attention to be up and running again. Let me know if you have any questions and I will answer them to the best of my ability. I do have the car for sale locally and will sell if a buyer comes along with the right amount of money. ****Please contact me if you are interested in bidding and have "0" feedbacks or transactions. I have been burnt by false buyers and will need to communicate with you or I will cancel and block your bid. ****
